Without any additional conditioned air other than 2 vents from the HVAC, the basement seems to stay around F year round. I was hesitant about other people saying that this was oversold as a large room heater, but it heats up the room quickly, even when set to efficient mode 68F. I can't say how much power it uses, because I only turn it on as needed, however after 1 month of using it, there hasn't been a noticeable change in my power bill.

It's not quiet, but not obnoxiously loud either. It has a fan, it pushes hot air, it does make noise. If you are looking for something super quiet, look elsewhere. The only very minor drawback is that the remote uses the same frequency as my volume button on my TV and whenever I turn up or turn down the volume, it changes the sleep mode setting on the heater. Not a deal breaker since I can just walk to the TV and change the volume there.

Attached is a picture with the heater in the far north corner. Also helped dry the laundry I hung I have electric baseboard and the electricity rates in CT are outrageous. Not to mention the fees and extra charges on top of the electric usage. I do what I can to avoid using the electric baseboard, the main heat source is my pellet stove. But for my finished basement I used a plug in heater. I had a previous model by this brand and I loved it. Also helped dry the laundry I hung to dry. The heating element stopped working after several years of faithful service, so why not replace it with the newer version?

This is a great heater. Good size, nice cozy heat. I never had a problem with outlets burning up, but I have replaced them before using this style heater.

I would advise you have your outlets upgraded if they're old and have the wiring pinned into the back. They should be looped around the screw of the outlet on the sides in the corresponding terminals. Even after replacing outlets, I had an issue with a Lasko oscillating quartz heater overheating my outlet. Needless to say I stay away from those and only use this type, the infrared heater.

This heater is doing a great job of heating my large open living rm and kitchen. The outside does not feel hot or even warm and the casters make it easy to move around hope my cats don't figure that out. Once the room is warm I keep on econo setting of One the best features is that it does not dry out the air.

I have copd and can breath so much better after giving up on my central unit which of course was circulating no telling what thru 20yr old duct work. I live in a 16x80 mobile so I bought another for the other end of the house and hope this continues to save me money on electric bill. Just have to have them plugged into two different circuits and must turn one off to use the hairdryer in bath, but that's a minor thing compared to the healthy air and savings. This is a complete waste of money. I bought in February of Used it a few times in February and March.

This is only used in the kids art room which is in a poorly insulated sun room when we used it. Then Spring time rolls around and there is no use for it. Next seasons same thing used a few times while in the kids art room and now December comes along coldest winter in decades for us. Use it on a regular basis and it does not work. Turn on and get error code E1. Follow what it states on manual to troubleshoot and nothing. Tried calling company and phone numbers do not work. If you are reading this review please do not buy.

Did not get my moneys worth with the limited usage. It has only a one year limited warranty which for a space heater in an area where winter is three months long seems like you don't have enough time to fully access the item. See all reviews.
