The Alphas Mate (Huntsville Pack Book 1)
Dec 06, Kimberly Walter rated it it was amazing. Chloe and Jackson's relationship is so new, its fragile. Many are determined to tear it down especially the women of the pack. But Chloe refuses to give in, she fights with everything in her and wont back down. She shows them all how strong she is, because she is the Alpha's mate and she is staying for good. I really liked this book. I could hardly put it down.
Dec 07, Amy rated it really liked it. This is a great read. Chloe was thought to be a null until Jackson mated her and brought her wolf out. Still plagued by nay sayers Chloe fights her insecurities as well as some of Jacksons previous lovers.
Fast paced with a great mystery and lots of HOT Alpha to keep you totally captivated. Oct 31, Jess F. From Me to You Book Reviews rated it liked it. I liked this unique take on werewolf romance, it was suspenseful and entertaining. Jun 21, Kelly rated it it was amazing Shelves: Finding out how the former null and her hunky mate were faring since she found her wolf and shifted was high on my list of things I wanted to read.
Not going to lie, I like where this book went. Chloe might be a full werewolf who's mated to the future Alpha, but she's hardly comfortable in her skin yet. Never having been a full member of the pack, she doesn't know how to act or how to assert herself with th When I heard there was a follow-up book to the super sexy Make Her Howl, I was all excited!
What is Kobo Super Points?
Never having been a full member of the pack, she doesn't know how to act or how to assert herself with the eyes of everyone on her. Frankly, Jackson doesn't give her a lot of backup in the beginning. They might be dynamite between the sheets, but they know next to nothing about one another outside the bedroom.
He brushes off her valid concerns about the way she's being challenged and doesn't see the potential for disaster in allowing the pack to continue to treat Chloe like she's not quite one of them. Chloe is full of doubt about herself and her wolf. Being a non-entity for so long leaves her floundering when she and Jackson are suddenly the center of attention. Women who had ignored her before now actively hate her for mating the future Alpha.
It's not a fun place to be and Chloe deals with it as best she can. Throw in a rogue Alpha and a wolf from Jackson's old pack who doesn't know the definition of personal space and things get rough. Yeah, I'm totally loving this book. I liked that everything wasn't perfect between Chloe and Jackson just because they were mated and that Chloe really did find her inner strength and come into her own. Also, the sex was smokin'. Jackson came off as very mechanical to me and I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that I, the reader, never got a chance to step inside his head.
That's about all I got from him making for a very slow start. It wasn't until about half way through that the storyline picked up and his character showcased some actual personality. There is a kitchen scene between the two that added some much needed romance.
The Alpha's Mate (Huntsville Pack, #1) Sequel to Bring Her Wolf by Michelle Fox
The banter was light yet intimate and playful. I only wish there had been a bit more of that. I needed to be sold on the pairing and I never quite got there. I liked the plot of the book, the mystery of the who and why, and how it all came together. There were a couple of clever plot points that helped balance out the obvious ones and some interesting supporting characters. Chloe isn't a weak heroine, and while I didn't quite connect with her either, she kicked ass when she needed to. I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this story.
Although it's a sequel of To Bring Her Wolf , you don't have to read the 1st book to understand the story. This book is a quick read but not lacking. No boring moment because it's fast-paced. I'm partial to strong heroines and this story is about an alpha's mate trying to prove her strength and worth to the pack. She's kind-hearted and brave. Although a bit insecure, she can hold her I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The Alpha's Mate (Huntsville Pack, #1) Sequel to Bring Her Wolf
Although a bit insecure, she can hold her own against those who wanted her gone. In this novel the hero didn't shine at all Well, except in the bedroom, lol. He practically did nothing that can help Chloe, not for lack of trying, though. I rarely read romance stories where the hero doesn't have a definite impact on the story. And this is one of them. Oh, there are lots of sex scenes. Not that I'm complaining, lol. If it's a shapeshifter story you should expect lots of sex. Yeah, werepeople have higher sexual energy than us, humans.
Overall, I love this story. I was definitely satisfied with the ending. Maybe because of the happy ever after ending The Alpha's Mate was a good read. I like that even though these are shifters and they have the mate bond, it wasn't all peaches and cream. The bond was all they had and Chloe found herself doubting their relationship as well as if she was strong enough to be the an alpha's mate.
As long as they were in the bedroom they were a perfect match, outside Chloe is forced to deal with all of Jackson's past lovers and learning to deal with her newly emerging wolf. Chloe has to fight for every bit of respe The Alpha's Mate was a good read. Chloe has to fight for every bit of respect since she was never part of a pack while being a null.
She doesn't even know the rules of a pack. When one of Jackson's old pack mates show up Chloe really feels like an outsider and she feel as though Jackson isn't seeing the true nature of his pack mate. It takes Chloe almost losing her life for Jackson to finally see that Chloe need more than the title of mate for their relationship to work. Great story full of action and not just in the bedroom. While Chloe and Jackson have to work on their bond, introducing Chloe into the pack and as a leader, they also have a rogue werewolf to deal with who is looking for a special kind of female werewolf to mate.
Mar 22, Katie rated it really liked it Shelves: I read this book as part of the Fated Mates: I enjoyed this just as much as the first one, maybe even more. I didn't really like the way it ended- too much was stuffed into the last few paragraphs of the book which i thought made it seem a bit rushed, I would have liked there to have been a bit more to the ending. May 22, Pauline Jacquelin rated it it was amazing. Action, girl kicks ass the perfect ingredients.
Nov 28, Tracy's Place rated it liked it. May 09, Karen Voitik rated it really liked it. Chloe and Jackson are newly mated. Jackson is the next alpha of the pack. Chloe could not shift until she was mated and treated terribly by the pack her whole life. Once Chloe and Jackson are together, their chemistry is undeniable, but apart, Chloe is still bullied.
All of them hate Chloe. I found it strange for an alpha like Jackson to not realize what was happening to Chloe. The actual reason behind the rogue wolf is a bit far-fetched, even for a shifter book. Jackson and Chloe showed a wonderful family side that cements their relationship. I did enjoy how Chloe begins to grow as an alpha in her own right. I just wish Jackson stood with her more. I am giving this book 4 stars. Mar 15, Heather Rainwater-Alvarado rated it really liked it. These are adult books and contain detailed sex scenes. I enjoyed reading more about these two characters and wish Michelle wrote more to their story; but in true fashion, this is a stand-alone in her series in the world of werewolves in Huntsville.
I also enjoyed the serial killer plot line which added a sense of urgency to reading it. There are some unexpected twists and turns, but although some of it was predictable, she still tells it in a way that keeps your interest piqued. Thankfully there is no cliffhanger to the ending. I look forward to reading more in the series to see which stand alone story is my favorite. Chloe Weiss is no longer a null and has a mate in the next alpha Jackson Swift.
Hoever she does not have the happy ending she maybe expected. One the members of the pack that Jackson had tried when looking for his mate is convinced it is not Chloe but her and makes her life difficult. Add to that the rumours that Chloe is an Omega and cannot be mated and she can't imagine things getting worse. Then an old friend of Jackson arrives and appears to be more competition for Jackson.
A rogue male is al Chloe Weiss is no longer a null and has a mate in the next alpha Jackson Swift. A rogue male is also in the area and seems to be kidnapping and killing females as he hunts for a female to mate with. Will Chloe have to fight for Jackson as part of proving she is not and Omega and will they find and catch the rogue Alpha?
A great story with lots of drama, twists and turns.
This is very well written and you can really get caught up into the story and live through it via Chloe. Sep 10, L M rated it really liked it. The intro for this book Bring Her Wolf was a good read. This was even more enjoyable. I would recommend reading Bring her wolf first to understand about Chloe better.
Chloe was ready to leave her pack when the one wolf she wanted gave her what she needed. Now in this book Chloe is still having to prove herself. Chloe is going to have to prove she is an alpha female and sort out the bitches in the pack trying to bring her down.
Then to top it all a friend from Jacksons home pack comes to visit. Chloe just cannot get a break but in the end she triumphs over them all. Glad to see Jackson supporting Chloe this time. I enjoyed it very much. The characters are interesting, though they are not very complex.
Jaxson seems a bit unobservant when it comes to the female tension going on around him. Chloe seems a bit to unsure of herself. However, these things seem to work out for the story. There is mystery and suspense. A touch of humor. And a great ending to Chloe and Jaxson's story. Even though there are some editing errors, it is a very fun read! I found 2 more in this series.
They way they are listed though, it can be complicated to find them. Huntsville Pack Book 3'. They appear to be connected by the town that Chloe and Jaxson live in, which is Huntsville, Tennessee. Both are listed on Amazon for 3. Why can't I find anything wrong with this author? She never lets me down. I read the first story about Jackson and Chloe which I think you should read first to get the full story. She has trouble realizing that Jackson is her mate and how much he loves her. She feels weak and not up to being the alphas mate.
But this story will show you different and her too! Great story and definitely worth reading! Chloe and Jackson's story is well written, fast paced, and full of suspense, excitement, and hot romance. The characters are well rounded and the descriptions put you in the middle of everything.
I bought the book quite awhile ago, but just read it today Michelle certainly has a way with stories! OK, couldn't resist that one! This is a great story and series! For werewolf Adele Fleurgriffe, chasing a constant high and being trapped in a vampire blood slave ring was a lot easier than being normal. But she's trying hard to change her life, to stop using drugs, to be a good guest of the Huntsville Pack and not think too much about the vampire who got under her skin in a way drugs never did. Vampire Davian Sanglante tried to walk away from Adele once.
If she knew his deepest, darkest secret, she would run screaming. The problem is every time he sees Adele, it gets harder and harder to push her away While you don't have to, you'll have more fun if you read The Alpha's Fight before this because that's where we first meet Adele and Davian.
