I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It has a strong storyline and strong characters who had great faith, tenacity, love and a willingness to give of themselves to help others. This story about the San Francisco earthquake has meaning to me because my grandparents were there when it happened. My dad was born in San Francisco in July So my grandfather told my dad about it.
My grandfather was fishing in the San Francisco Bay in his boat when the earthquake occurred. I'm thankful my grandparents and family survived. Love these characters and the time period. Meet the characters that helped build San Francisco after the earthquakes and fire.

I used to be an up and comer, go getting wall-street banker working at Goldman Sachs. I lost my way after business school and for the past two years just coasted in a mediocre job thinking about my past success, wishing I could go back in time.
The Sell changed all that. There's one simple line that did it for me. But also call me a multi-millionaire. Fredrick made me remember that I'm not average and I need to stop doing things average people do.

This book was my wake up call. Since reading it, I've been sleeping earlier, going to the gym in the mornings and hustling at night on my side projects. I've already started generating more income and this summer I'll be quitting my job to do other things that get me as excited as real estate does for Fredrick.
I don't know if Fredrick will read this but if you do, thank you. I really needed this book. To everyone else, just buy the book. Fredrick is the real deal. This book by no means a how-to so don't think that after reading this, it will change your mind set and reinvent the wheel of selling. Fredrik has great insights and stories of how he got into the business and how he did his brand. Prospecting is how you find your next client, and he certainly can get that by his social media status and good personality.
But for us in the business, word of mouth from previous client is still how stay relevant. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. One of the best books I've read. It is honest, inspiring, and to the point. Fredrik is a warm, kind soul. This book is written for The Sell so you would think that it is all business, but in the end, it is all soul.
The EGO slips away and the bottom line is to live an authentic life. When we are happy, we live happy. That is what attracts The Sell. I only wish I knew Freddy in real life Fredrik is incredibly intelligent, obviously look at how crazy successful he is, as well as hilarious and full of heart.
What I liked about his book is that it offers actually a vast amount of useful business tips and tools that can be applied to really any type of venture. Plus, he writes in a way that makes it highly enjoyable and empowering. Also I have to admit, in my business I don't know how many times per week we have marketers soliciting to us on social media or how many continuing education courses are offered per week on this and Fredrik's chapter on social media is my go to for this now. Not only did he actually explain the different avenues better, but by following his advice for posts I by far received way more buzz.
But this was not an overnight success. It was a marathon. The growth loop starts with a habit of persistent personal creation and ends in validation. That validation and feedback includes social proof such as online comments, sharing and traffic to your content and creations.
This creation feedback loop can be addictive. The social web has revealed how that works. The creative addiction loop is where you publish and are validated in real time. But it requires habitual creation. Work that makes a difference and is life legacy building. Busy-ness or shallow work is often just a distraction to the real game of life. The last piece of the transformative art of creating and publishing on this social web is often not expected or explained.
Many teachers never revealed this wisdom. This happens in a cycle of constant creation and publishing. The constant creation and feedback loop is a virtuous learning cycle. As you distill your thoughts and articulate your ideas they take structured form. How do you take your passionate purpose and become the guru, the star or maybe even an influencer? We perform at work…. Doctors diagnose and teachers teach. But performance is not enough. But the practice of performing can be the revelation of mastery. Monastic learning away from the public performance is where the real optimal growth occurs and true mastery happens.
The saw needs to be sharpened. The learning zone is where your read, research and test in private. It is where you expand and discover new ways and creative techniques. This then feeds back into the performance. Do both for optimal performance then perform, reflect and then adjust. It started with a passionate curiosity. The engine room was developing a habit of daily creation and publishing. Then I built an audience and community before I needed them.
