AIDENS BAYOU
From brothers that say they protect their sister but never except So much about this book just left me scratching my head the biggest is I kept going back to the copyright date thinking this book had to be written before google. From brothers that say they protect their sister but never except one small time tell their parents to knock off the aweful way they treat Aiden.
Aiden who other then going to college has never really put her foot down. To James the sweet guy determined to save Aiden no matter how Aiden treats him, to Aiden's best friend who sees how Aiden treats James who she loves and doesn't nothing more then slap her hand. Finally to Hot hero who is a complete Mama's boy and never questions anything she tells him, not to mention stays in an aweful marriage as to not embarrass her. Enter three parents all up for worst parents of the decade.
All that being said I have read enough reviews on this author to know I want to give her another try, there was enough emotion and interest that I did finish the book and it gave me a glimpse of what this author can offer. Perhaps I will really enjoy another of her books. This one just didn't do it for me. Mar 01, Tia rated it really liked it.
Aiden decided to take a boat ride in the swamp, only to be in an accident and stranded. So she went to the closest island available, jumped over alligators and made her way to a little house. Quinten opened the door, thinking it was a reporter and found Aiden. He told her she was a good faker and sh could sleep on his deck for all she cared. She said okay and passed out on his deck, almost half dead. When Quin found her, he was shocked by her injuries, he took care of her and nursed her back to h Aiden decided to take a boat ride in the swamp, only to be in an accident and stranded.
When Quin found her, he was shocked by her injuries, he took care of her and nursed her back to health. When she left the next morning Quin was disappointed, being in love with her almost instantly, he hunted her down. After a lot of commotion about Quin's past and a whole lot of confusion, Quin and Aiden tied the knot. It was pretty damn good.
Just another simplistic love story but sometimes those are the best ones. I can't stop saying how impressed I am with Kimberley Reeves!

Jan 23, Bleumoon rated it really liked it. I must admit I found myself agreeing with another reviewer regarding the characters being "nitwits" when I started this book. Some of the story did seem a bit far fetched I would recommend this book. Feb 28, Neisha rated it it was amazing. Oct 28, Lorraine Lesar rated it liked it. A good Sunday afternoon read and it's free for Kindle readers from Amazon! Aiden is fed up with her domineering family and feels unloved, especially when informed of a arranged marriage - does that still happen?
Anyway, feeling angry, she storms off in her boat into the bayou. A storm sets in and see is in trouble! She ends up on Quin Hawke's doorstep and the story begins and you are in for a hot, hot ride! A short, hot read and recommended. Jun 05, Amy Pro rated it really liked it. I thought this was a really good book.
I enjoyed the story and the characters. There was a couple times I wanted to smack the both of them upside the head because of the way they were acting.

I like this just as much as Blind Faith. I would recommend this one to anyone who likes love stories. Be aware that it does have some graphic love scenes.

Eighteen years of marriage to the same wonderful man who is and always will be the love of my life. He is the inspiration in my heart Books by Kimberley Reeves. Trivia About Aiden's Bayou. They then go on to act like they are in some parallel universe where normal rules of behavior don't apply. Want to know what someone's life has been like? Also, as a grown woman, if your family is cruel to you and cuts you down, you should just continue to do whatever they say knowing it will never gain their approval because they don't actually love you. Sadly that part of the story rang slightly true because this rich girl was afraid she would be disinherited Seriously I forced myself to keep reading because I thought the end must be right around the corner it wasn't - this story is also waaaay to long for the thin plot and I just kept getting more annoyed at the stupid stupid stupid people in this book.
Sorry, I wanted to like it - the plot as advertised girl gets caught in a storm, must spend night in bed with sexy stranger sounded fun. It could have been so much more. Aiden's Bayou is a fun, relatively quick read. Good characterization throughout, with a couple of inconsistencies. Well-written, with few editable errors. For the most part, I love her brothers - I always wanted protective older brothers like these. Her mother is a classy dame. Cold-hearted bitch, but classy. Her father is a slightly stereotypical Italian family man, who doesn't seem quite as smart about his daughter as he is about his business empire.
Some things I noticed jumped out at me and made the story a little less great.
For those small things, I'm taking off a star. Keep in mind that I didn't really notice them until I was done with the story, so they certainly didn't detract from my reading pleasure. Any human being with even the tiniest bit of curiosity would probably have used the internet to find out what people were saying about them.
I know that in Quin's situation, I most definitely would have. Then again, if he had, the huge dustup with his mother wouldn't have been a plot point, and the story would have had less punch. I found it slightly unbelievable that Aiden, who takes everything her parents dish out at home, could be such an assertive and savvy businesswoman out in the real world.
The intro into her previous love life took up a little too much time and didn't really add to the plot, particularly as neither partner is mentioned again, except in passing, in Aiden's thoughts. Aiden's best friend, Vivian, says at one point in the story that she's "been in love with you for years. Nowhere else in the book does this lack of self-esteem really show through. She's smart and attractive and cares deeply about her friend Aiden. In the end, guests at a wedding are told that there had been several mistakes, and that they were actually present to witness a double wedding.
Except that, any marriage licenses would have had to be obtained prior to this little switcheroo, and therefore, neither wedding is actually legal. The chemistry between Aiden and Quinten is fairly sizzling, and the descriptions of unexpectedly seeing someone across the room, someone with whom one is freshly in love, are perfect and tug at the heartstrings.
Ah, to be young and in love again!
