When Emily Met Trevor
Emily would send him a "Very Important Work Stuff" email every few days with pictures of her favorite dogs from nearby shelters.
Trevor & Emily are Engaged – Goderich, Ontario
On a midweek January day, Emily texted Trevor about going to the shelter to see some of the new dogs. Seemed perfectly normal for Em, so Trevor passed on going. It was cute, and Trevor just thought it was something Emily did. Turns out it was something more A few hours later, Emily called and said she was getting a dog that day!
Trevor rushed over to join and they picked up a very nervous Lucinda now Pepper! Pepper melted Trevor's heart immediately by sitting on his lap for the ride home: Since getting Pepper, she has been at the heart of so many of our stories.

We can't remember the timing of when this happened exactly BUT, we were still in the earlyish part of our relationship when Emily joined Trevor to visit his family in New Hampshire. After a fun day with the family, Yiayia Trevor's grandmother told Emily "I love you, Emily," and then immediately looked at Trevor like she had made a huge mistake probably fearing that Trevor had been dumb enough not to tell Emily he loved her yet! Luckily, Trevor had told Emily he loved her already, and the three of them had fun laughing it off: After supporting each other for three very full years, including adopting Pepper, Emily's knee surgery, finishing our Masters Theses at the same time, switching jobs, moving in together, and living coast-to-coast long distance while Emily was on Adventuress , we finally decided to move across the country together.
We also decided that we should probably look at engagement rings: Emily had just started a new job at Total Health Chiropractic and was shaking in her boots nervous about it. Trevor was a new police officer with Chattanooga PD, fresh out of the academy. They were both at integral turning points in their lives the day that Trevor walked into the office for his weekly appointment, and neither of them knew that that day would be so important. If you ask Emily, she can tell you exactly what Trevor was wearing that day blue button up and khakis.

But no, it wasn't "love at first site". Trevor was the answer to many years of prayers, and Emily was everything Trevor didn't know that he needed yet. They are the best of friends at first, and helped each other in ways that they never thought possible. Two unfamiliar people became friends. Then, they became a couple. The wedding venue is flawless, the scenery is breathtaking, and you will be in the heart of all of the world's greatest southern hospitality! The wedding will be beautiful, but most of all, the wedding will be about God and Love.
We can't wait to see you there and celebrate the start of the rest of our lives! I met Cherith through Trevor. The funny thing is, I knew her before she knew me. Trevor and I were dating for a little while before I had actually met his friends, but that didn't stop us from talking about them. She was a patient in my office and every time that she and adorable little Adelae came in, I was beaming with happiness and bursting to tell her.
Trevor ended up of course teasing her with the information and telling her. At first, she was furious! She couldn't believe that he had kept that from her. But now, we're best friends. God not only gave me an amazing husband, but he gave me an amazing family in the Austin's. Her family took me in like I had always been a part of it, and for that - I could never thank them enough.
Patti hasn't been in my life long at all compared to other members of this wedding party, but something about her just stuck with me from day one. We met through Katie another bridesmaid of mine and after a small amount of time, we had become the best of friends. She is funny, quirky and reliable. She's basically a labrador retriever with really pretty eyes. And I could never, and would never be able to replace her. How I love you. Erika has been my friend since we met on the bus my first day of public school, ever. We have been friends for over 17 years!
We have been through ALL phases of life together. We have fought together, loved together, and cried together. I was in the room for 2 out of 3 of her children being born. We were there for graduations, church gatherings and parties we should've never gone to. We have made mistakes together, and made really great decisions together too. I love her children my God children more than anything in this world, and I can't imagine my life without her.
I couldn't possibly name all of our memories in one letter, or one year. We have shared a life together, literally. You are more like a sister to me than a friend, and I never want to be without you! I met Rachel through her now husband, Brian McClard also a groomsmen. They are two of our closest friends. They have watched us both grow as a couple with God, and we have watched their relationship blossom into the marriage that it is now. You will never meet a more wholesome, honest, kind, sweet and loving girl.
She is beautiful, thoughtful, funny and so kind. I couldn't imagine not sharing the stage with this girl on my big day! The extra lights strung across the barn added so much!
