This was one the best MC books I've read in a while. It contained every but of emotion one is capable of feeling with a heat factor of a million! Dominic and Ericka couldn't have been more different.

My Wishlist

I wished I could climb inside the book and hug her and keep her safe. No need to worry though once Dominic gets his eyes on her. I don't often use quotes in my reviews unless they stand out so much that I have to go back and re-read the beautiful words. With you, I'm forever free. We do see alot of tears, abuse heartbreak, and backstabbing. It's safe to say that Betty has made her way to my top must read author list. I can't wait to dig into more if her amazing journies. Dominic is the man of every women's dreams a total alpha wjo will protect his women no matter the cost. From the moment he decided she was the one he did everything in his power to protect her from his dark mc world, a world that was determined to tear them apart. I won't say to find out read this book you will not be disappointed, I certainly wasn't and I can't wait to see what happens next!

While Erika is young, she had to grow up in a hurry and Dom was with her every step of the way. I really love how these two played off of each other a lot. Dom, being the VP of his club gave him some leeway however things take a twisted turn.

There were a lot of rough moments as Erika tries to navigate being in a relationship with Dom let alone living the way she was prior to him claiming her as his own. I really enjoyed seeing how these two held each other up as they figure things out and move forward. There is a lot of blood and grim getting through it all but Shreffler does this story with finesse and gives a great new twist on MC books!

I am really looking forward to more from her with these MC books. I love the rawness of them because they are more savage than some others I have read. The life the author pictured to the readers was harsh, raw and violent - in one word it was real. Real in the meaning of not always rainbows and unicorns of what little girls dream of, but real when you know you have to fight for everything in your life, and there is absolutely not a single thing given to you on a silver platter.

You hold your head high, square your shoulders and keep on going. What I loved beside this realness was the balance the author kept in her storytelling. There was the harshness of real life, true. But there also was the beauty of love to balance the wrongs.

Erika was a strong female character despite being barely legal. That was yet another thing I really liked in this book. She wasn't portrayed as someone helpless and silly but as competent and smart. Dom was also very strong and capable. I really wouldn't like to use the nowadays overused term of "alpha" to describe him as he was much more than that.

He was just and above all a MAN. He did what he had to and didn't apologize. He played the hand he's been dealt. What would be the point to dwell on things of the past? He was loyal to his club and his brothers but wasn't blind to their faults and stood up against injustice and cruelty. He also was true to his own code of conduct. He gave everything he was to Erika.

The good, the bad and the ugly. And he also was the man who righted the wrongs at the end. The love Erika and Dom found themselves in was really beautiful, desptie the ruins of circumstances it grew out of. They were perfect for each other.

Wings Series

Their chemistry was off the charts and their love scenes were steamy and hot. I liked that there were no games and misunderstandings and other sometimes unnecessary turns, they simply loved and were in love. Of course it doesn't mean they had it easy, not by a longshot. But why complicate things even further? I also loved the trust they had for one another and that they were equals. They communicated but not only with words but through touch and look and with their hearts. Great story, impressive writing.

I can only recommend this great read. I received this book as an ARC from the author. The following review is my own with no input, promises, nor compensation from the author or her representatives. My oh my, Ms. Shreffler knows how to spin a tale that sucks you in and takes you for a ride. This one happened to take you on a ride on the dark side. Erika is a young girl in the middle of a terrible situation that was brought on by her addict mother and sister. When Dom and Erika cross paths, sparks fly and an all-encompassing fire blazes forth. It is so deliciously salacious and it definitely teases your boundaries, whilst managing to be wonderfully entertaining.

You want to keep an eye out for whatever Ms. Shreffler has in store for us next. This is definitely the rougher side of MC romance. There were moments I had to set my Kindle down and give myself a moment to calm from what I read because it got pretty heavy. However it's absolutely a story you pick back up because you have to read more. This story had insta-love and it had passion along with plenty of steamy moments. Erika and Dominic were certainly a hands on kind of couple. The story was intense and emotional and felt kind of angsty to me.

But overall it was just an awesome read. This author has become a must read for me. With every new book of hers I read, I find myself hooked to the story and invested in the characters. This is one I definitely recommend. Why I torture myself with these kind of trashy book is beyond me. I understand an author puts so much into a book but in my defense there is nothing in this book but sex. If one removes all the pages of sex ,this book is nothing more than 20 pages. I don't mind sex scenes at all but I want stories too and not have to skip 5 pages of sex to read next two pages of stories.

It is emotional with romance, suspense, excitement and hot steamy sex. Betty Shreffler's characters are strong, I was able to follow the storyline. What a fantastic read. It leaves you wanting more. I would highly recommend this book. Thank you, Betty Shreffler, for another panty melting read!

But it will not be easy fro them as life can be bit unfair as well as unpredictable at time, however, they are willing to go against odds. This is the second book in The Devil's Serpents MC series but can easily be read as a standalone, but Castle of Kings is amazing so I'd definitely read it.

This book is fast paced absolute page turner, filled with lust, passion, love, jealousy, hatred, revenge, violence and hot AF sex scenes. Then there's Woah Betty has created another hot as sin masterpiece. Then there's Dominic he's tatted, ripped and the chemistry they share is nuclear from his first green gaze. They are so wrong for each other, but it feels so right, the sex is mind blowing and yeah he's scary AF but he shows her a different man than just being Devil's Serpent VP everyone else sees. Dominic only knows the MC world, all the craziness that comes with that life and screwing women that mean sweet FA to him.

He shouldn't want Erika she's too good for someone like him, he should stay away for her good, she's sweet, innocent but also a sexy little hell cat. One taste of her and he wants more, he can't stay away, she's his Sparrow. Can he keep her safe at all times from enemies and his own MC brothers? Can the dominating Dominic Xavier be brought to his knees by the quiet shy Sparrow Erika?

Will they get an HEA? This is my first read from Betty, but I have almost all of her work on my kindle waiting for me to read! Dom is so formidable. He is tough, rough, and the VP of his MC club. Her mouth tends to get her in trouble. Dom and Erika have a fire burning connection. If you like you books with a lot of steam, then this book is for you. They seemed to be always at it, like energiser bunnies.

The story line is intriguing, it kept me reading throughout. I anticipated what would happen next. There are lots of twist and turns that I really did not see coming as well as a bit of action. And things happened they way they need to. Betty Shreffler always does a fantastic job sucking me into her books. I go through all the emotions and fall in love with her characters. She is amazing at transporting me to the scenes and making it impossible for me to put her stories down until I'm finished. This book was exactly the same and I'm looking forward to more from her.
