Angel Mine (A Whispering Winds novel)
When I started reading Angel Mine I couldn't imagine Todd in a relationship with a woman, add to it that Heather's reasons to seek Todd sounded shallow and I lost my interest in the main couple. I kept on reading because I wanted to read more about Maggie, Henrietta and Tess. No, it wasn't the best from Ms.

Loved the eccentric characters that made Whispering Wyoming a very real and vivid place. Jul 23, Listener rated it did not like it Shelves: When I started this book, I thought I was going to hate Todd's guts. But quite the opposite happened. I ended up disliking Heather. Not only she left the person she supposedly loved just because he made career choices she didn't agree with, she didn't tell him she had had his child.
And as if that was not enough, she continued pestering him about his current career after she found him and told him about their daughter. Get over it already! He did it for you, you idiot. I was annoyed with her long skirts, stupid bracelets and that spontaneity and unpredictability thing she was constantly bragging about. Yeah, yeah, you're the mystery woman. We got it already. Todd was stubborn in his own way.

It is time Angel's father Todd discovers the truth that he has a daughter. Heather is on a mission to head to Whispering Wind, Wyoming to tell him and make him take some responsibility for her and to help her out raising Angel. It is fun to read how this turns out and how Todd approaches this new discovery. Todd can't trust himself with any child after It was a great book and story line. Todd can't trust himself with any child after a past tragedy that he has kept to himself for many years. I especially loved Angel and her antics. All the characters were well developed and strong.
The only reason I didn't give it a higher rating is because it was just too drawn out. This back and forth between Heather and Todd and Todd's secret just went on too long and became boring.
I would still recommend it as a sweet romance with humor added. It was touching and sweet at the end. Mar 02, Jessica rated it really liked it. This is a fun read full of interesting characters. The hero is charming and tortured, an irresistible combo for the lady readers. The heroine is spunky and likable.
The little girl they share is cute as can be and you look forward to each exchange between her and the other characters. Characters from the previous book are heavily involved which is nice if you want to catch up with them. I hadn't read the previous book but the story was explained enough that I didn't feel lost. Never thought I would see the day!

This author gives the reader a well written spin on a true romantic love between Heather Reed and Todd Winston. With Heather being a single paren Title: With Heather being a single parent would she be able to convince the father of Angel, her dad Todd that she needed help in raising her? What I thought was somewhat amusing was that Todd had no idea that he even had a child and just what had happened that he seemed to panic after finding out he had a child?
Yes, this little girl looked just like him. I found this read a long read but in the end it gave the reader a wonderful ending. The characters were all simply off the chart good, well developed, likable, and so very colorful making the read an captivating one. Now Heather wants help, she discovers she can't do it alone and she thinks he should help, he's willing to send money, but can't, or won't be hands on.
Good plan fairly well implemented, but small towns don't quite work that way, I know, so iffy on the details. But truly it's a good story, it just had too much wasted time. And it needed an epilogue. This book is actually a sequel to a title that escapes me at the momentsomething TexAnd it will mean far more to readers who have enjoyed the first one because the "Tex" title develops the characters of most of the key players in Angel Mine. Sherryl Woods is, in my opinion, the best romance writer in the genre today because she so excels at developing both sense of place and realistic, easy to know and like, characters at the same time.
In many ways, Angel mine, is even better than its predecessor on both counts. Mass Market Paperback Verified Purchase. I really liked the book but be sure you read the series as they came out, sometimes if you miss one of the books you know you have missed something but not sure what it was.
Todd lived a long life with a lot of guilt and bit was ruining his life. He almost lost his future too.
Heather took a big chance on having her baby meet her daddy but in the end it made her dream come true. Angel, Todd, and Heather have a very bright future together. Henrietta and the judge will also live happily ever after even at their age. I hope there is a sequel to this book. I have read many of sherryl woods books.
