Angel Betrayed (The Fallen Series Book 2)

He makes a pact with Daniel for 18 days so that both could hunt outcasts sent by the elders who are trying to kill Luce. He doesn't have a huge role in this book, but he does show a more caring side as he helps protect Luce from getting killed when she is lured off campus and starts to seem more protective over her.

Arriane is another fallen angel, from Daniel's side. After rescuing Luce, Shelby, and Miles from a revealing moment gone wrong, she decides to stay in Shoreline, from then on, to keep an eye on Luce. Like Cam, she doesn't have a huge role in the book but she turns up at a convenient time and sort of clues Luce in a little bit without revealing too much.

She tries persuading Luce to forget her feeling for Miles and stick with Daniel. He is another fallen angel, from Cam's side. In Torment , he will also transfer and study at Shoreline it is speculated that following orders of Cam and Daniel to oversee Luce better. Still friendly and popular as ever. Gabbe is a fallen angel on the side of Daniel. Her very polished looks belie her extraordinary strength. She helps fight the outcasts at Luce's Thanksgiving dinner. He is the only human, besides Luce, to be aware of the fallen angels.

Callie is the best friend of Luce back in Dover Prep School. She discovers the identity of Luce's classmates during an unfortunate event at Thanksgiving. He is a Nephilim part angel, but mainly human , and one of the first friends that Luce makes in Shoreline. His talent as being part of the angel bloodline is to be able to mirror others and himself, though he was only able to do it once before he met Luce that being a mirror of his mom.

Miles honors his statement that he can only perform this for people he has strong feelings for. Gentle and friendly, he soon wins her trust. He helps Luce understand a little more about the Announcers. Miles kisses her at one point outside her dorm room and confesses his love to her, Daniel witnesses the encounter. He is liked by Luce's parents, also and has a friendly sort of banter with Shelby. Luce's roommate, who is also a Nephilim.

A little grumpy at the beginning, giving the impression of disliking Luce, but with time gets attached to her. She had a crush on Daniel and insinuates that she had an affair with him, which was one of the reasons for disliking Luce at first. Although in an extract it is revealed that nothing much really happened other than the fact that she tried hitting on him but he was too emotionally scarred by Luce's last death.

She loves practicing yoga. Shelby helps Luce manipulate the shadows to look at the past, and is great at observing details that help Luce track over her past lives. Her ex-boyfriend is actually an outcast, who was using her to get to Luce. Another nephilim who is Jasmine's best friend and one of Luce's friends in Shoreline. She has an irrepressible enthusiasm, being extremely lively and fun.

Her physiognomy appearance is very similar to that of Luce, telling her that the two no longer seemed twins after Luce bleached her hair blonde. Nephilim and best friends with Dawn. She is smoother than Dawn, but she is also perpetually happy, very lively and caring. Professor of Shoreline along with Francesca, but unlike her, Steven is a demon. He is called "Silver Fox" sometimes by Dawn. His hair is silver and is known to have a slim, attractive body. He is the first of the teachers to agree to Luce's work with the Announcers shadow beings that are able to store messages of the past.

Francesca admits later in the book that she has feelings for Steven but is unable to commit to them once they have to fight. The so-called "Sorry-ass ex-boyfriend" of Shelby, who will spy Luce's stay at Shoreline without anybody's knowing it even Shelby who will provide more information. He is one of the Outcasts and will be the one to lead a group of Outcasts in the Thanksgiving party where fallen angels, Luce's Family, bestfriend and Nephilim friends will be at.

According to the Bible , a fallen angel is an angel who, coveting a higher power, ends up delivering "the darkness and sin. The most famous is fallen angel Lucifer himself. The fallen angels are quite common in stories of conflict between good and evil. Nephilim are the sons of fallen angels with mortals. According to Torment , a few Nephilim have wings and may possess minor supernatural talents clones, mind reading, etc. A particular rank of angels. Cam describes them as the worst kind of angel. They stood next to Satan during the revolt, but did not step into the underworld with him.

Once the battle ended, they tried to return to heaven, but it was too late. He also mentions that when they tried to go to hell, Satan cast out permanently, and left them blind. Nevertheless, the outcasts have a tremendous control of the other four senses.

In Torment , they chase Luce because they think that if they captured her, they would get back to heaven. Let's just say this Book Mama was not very happy to put "Angel Betrayed" off for awhile to do college homework. Don't these professors know I need my Romance books to keep me sane? I've been counting down the days to read Sammael's story since he was introduced in Angel of Darkness. For some reason, I grew attached to him because he is such a bad ass. I wanted to know which female character would tame this fallen angel and I also wanted to know why he fell. Cynthia definitely picked the best female character to capture Sam's heart. I was definitely not disappointed.

Sammael, fell centuries ago because he took matters into his own hands to kill men off that weren't supposed to die yet. He also enjoyed it a little too much. I understood why he did it I think I would've done the same thing He now owns a club called Sunrise where he meets, Seline. Seline is a half-breed.

She's half succubus, half angel She actually has a mission to take out Sammael from someone who wants to punish Sam. Unfortunately, that mission goes not as planned. Who can resist the sexy fallen angel, Sam? Although, she doesn't know what he is until later. She needs Sam's help on gaining her freedom from the person who wants Sam dead.

Sam does not want to help her at first until he realizes what she is and how she could help him find Azrael. It's up to Sam and Seline to find the fallen angels that are on the hit list to save them. My thoughts on "Angel Betrayed" were of course not disappointed. I love Cynthia Eden's Fallen Angel world she has created. It's way different from any other fallen angel stories out there. I also learned there are other types of angel in this book not just Angel's of Death that weren't introduced in the previous book. I loved Seline's character and how strong she was and how she could take care of herself.

I loved her abilities and I loved how she handled Sam in the book. There was a lot of action in this book and of course some steamy scenes between Sam and Seline. I can wait patiently. At least try too. You will definitely not be disappointed in these books. Well once again, Ms Eden has done it again and has proven to me that she is one of my most favorite authors, if not my favorite. If I could give a rating of 7 stars, I would, because she certainly deserves more than a 5-star rating on this book.

She either writes some good books and then at times, she writes some fantastic books and Angel Betrayed is just one of them. The Hero Sam is the type of hero I love. He is the best of the best to which no one can compare. He is handsome and very sexy and then there is Seline who is part demon and part angel. She is beautiful, witty and very funny.

She has met her match and then some when she comes across him who she was sent to destroy. Sam is a bad boy but in a good way I have always found that when the Hero of a book is alpha male, badder than bad, sexy as all get out and always a step ahead of everyone else, that the book is going to be great.

This is what happened in this book. Sam reminds me of Niol in Midnight's Master, who was also very sexy and very powerful. I have read that book three times.

Angel Betrayed

Angel Betrayed is one of those books that I will read again and again. It will be a hard act to follow in my next book that I read and a hard act to follow for Ms.

However, I am never disappointed with her writings. A Vampire's Kiss is another exceptional book that she wrote. I have been waiting for a while to read another one of her fantastic books and Angel Betrayed was worth the wait. Cynthia Eden sure knows how to make you have a luscious desire for a "bad" guy. This is the 2nd book in her The Fallen series and I like this one better than the 1st book.

As always, I will not put a lot of details in my review that is from the book. I think it ruins it for the potential readers. But, I will say this much: Sammael is an Angel of Death that Falls from Grace. The way Cynthia writes about him, it gives you one heck of an imagination of what he would look like. I just wonder if it would be a Sin to swoon over a Fallen. But, alas, Sam has his eyes on a particular Paranormal, Seline, that wants his help.

But he's not too sure if he can trust her and what she really is.

Frequently bought together

There is a lot of action, trust issues, other Paranormal, sex, powers from "all" sides and more. Not to mention, there are some Angels that are getting too involved in the "human" side of things. There is so much going on that you do not get bored during this read. I recommend this book and I am looking forward to the 3rd book in this series: Mass Market Paperback Verified Purchase. Sam is a fallen angel with a definite hard edge. Seline is half succubus and half angel.
