Here Kitty Kitty

Oh, the superficiality and consumerism. So off-putting, so un-funny. Sometimes Laurenston veers too far in her flippant wackiness. Plus -- and this is just personally -- the romance formula wherein a man loves a woman in spite of and because she's crazy, crass, violent, unkind, insulting, unhinged, distempered, self-indulgent, vain, presumptuous, reactionary and retaliatory no longer works for me.

I get that we don't want Mary Sues but I can' This author is totally hit or miss. I get that we don't want Mary Sues but I can't celebrate traits no one would want to have to deal with in a friend or in a partner. Stop telling women you should be loved as you are if you're a terror. I have to say that the first book and this third book were the best in the series because they both had me rolling on the floor laughing my ass off to the point I had tears in my eyes.

This was such an enjoyable and fast read. All these shapeshifters in this series were great and I like how they all came together in a truce in the end. View all 11 comments. Apr 12, Kacey4kc rated it it was amazing Shelves: I am really enjoying Shelly Laurenston and her red-neck werepeople.

I like how each of the were types lion, bear, tiger, etc have their own characteristics. This one is one my favorite of the ones I have read. The scene with tiger wooing makes me giggle every time. There are explicit scenes in these books. Something about these Magnus Pack books are trashy - mainly the characters. They're all like Sons of Anarchy and Jerry Springer characters.

Sure they're oft funny, but I find the whole low class vibe very off putting when I read these books. Not what I look for in a book, if I wanted that, I'd read the Enquirer. The Pride series by this author is much better. I love this hilarious series Suzanne Under the Covers Book blog. Angelina Santiago, the last of the crazy bitches trio had been kidnapped by tiger shifters.

And the woman does not go down fighting!! There were times in this book where I thought that Angelina could be a little crude to Nik and the others. She was a little too impulsive sometimes, acting too standoffish for my liking. Despite being human, Angelina is as catty as they come and she really does all she can do to push Nik away. But the tiger shifter is patient and soo damn sexy!

I think Nik might be my favourite out of the Magnus Pack series! He was just perfect! I want that kitty cat all to myself! I love them all to bits and I loved reading about their relationships with one another. I thought it really added to the strong relationship between Angie and Nik. And of course, the sex scenes are always HOT! There are too many scenes that come to mind as my favourites. But I think the one with the phone tops it.

Nik, you make me melt! And someone get her a gush bucket!!! View all 24 comments. I liked this story a lot. It is a good ending to the three best friends Sara, Miki and Angelina. I also like Shelly Laurenston's tone when writing, she's one sharp, sarcastic writer. I am not in love with it because I think the brand name dropping was oversold a bit too much. Ferragamo this, Louis Vuitton that, Gucci on speed dial What I did like a lot was that hillbilly and his kin. They tickled my toes seriously. Between their "Naw"s and antics, they made this story very I liked this story a lot.

Between their "Naw"s and antics, they made this story very entertaining. I like Southern boys, they make my Yankee heart melt! But she wasn't so bad. Her and Miki's antics at times were cute but a little childish. Both are human for goodness sakes but there are ready to take on shifters and act all hardcore badass. However, overlooking those concerns, the story is smooth and very likeable.

Cats beat out dogs...

If you enjoy paranormal romance and are looking for a summer read I highly recommend this humorous series. Each story has been fun to read. Crazy but strong women and the men who try to claim them-it doesn't get more fun than that. Dec 18, Laurie rated it it was amazing Shelves: The last full-length book in the Magnus Pack series is about Angelina. I think she may be worse than the other two. Once you get to know her though, you realize under that perfectly dressed and made up exterior is the soul of a redneck woman. Nik is just an alpha tiger going through life as happy as can be. Unfortunately, his Dad is a freak who only has eyes for one woman, his mother. There is no way Nik would ever settle for one woman. Well, until Angelina assaults him. These two fell into insta-lust the first time they ran into each other in an airport. Then they spent an inordinate amount of time fighting it, which was okay because this book is hilarious and their chemistry was so combustible even their arguing was hot.

In fact, I really wish there were books on all of them. With some unexpected lion shifters wanting a truce plus those damned Hyenas causing issues this book kept me on my toes.

Here, Kitty, Kitty: 10 Facts for Cat Lovers

The icing on the cake was it was scorching hot. Here Kitty, Kitty was a laugh-filled, action-packed treasure of a book… plus it was hotter than hell. I loved every word of it. Disclaimer-This review is for a romance novel. This is not Moby Dick so if you are looking for a review of greatness based on that level of reading, this is not the review for you.

Now for the book I just finished reading this book and I must say that although it is better writing than the last one, I still enjoyed the last one better.

Far Cry 5 Here Kitty, Kitty

But, that's only because the heroine in the last one was African American, and I am a little biased smile. However, Here Kitty Kitty is a good interracial story with a hot tempered Latina. Angelina Santiago is a take no crap fashion diva.

  • Macbeth: A post-apocalyptic version of the classic Shakespearean drama.;
  • Here Kitty, Kitty!.

Her hero is a gorgeous man with beautiful eyes as a human, and a man eating tiger once he shifts. Their story is funny and sexy. The other thing I like is that he is a Southerner gotta love his manners , although the southern thing is too overdone for him to be a real southerner which makes me think the author may be a Yankee. I'll have to research that LOL. It just feels just a tad forced. Initially I felt like I was going to stop reading the series after this story, and, I was only reading this one because I wanted to finish the three friends trilogy.

However, there are a couple more stories that I hope are going to be developed. This coupled with the fact that the writing has gotten so much better since the first one, I think I might give at least one more a try. This is a welcome break from Vampire love. They are starting to really grow on me LOL Jan 14, Cindy rated it it was amazing Shelves: Another excellent read from SL and one for the keeper shelves.

She consistently does HOT, funny stories about shifters. She delivers great characters, witty dialogue and fast paced plots on a consistent basis. Here, Kitty, Kitty: 10 Facts for Cat Lovers

I thought Angelina would be too much to handle like the previous heroines but she wasn't actually. I liked her better than I had though to would. She didn't frustrate me as much and didn't spend the majority of the book fighting the hero. I loved the hero though. Dominant yet not controlling. So hot and passionate. I loved how he had completely confidence in Angelina and her ability to handle herself in any situation. But what I loved most about him was the fact that he wa Another enjoyable read.

But what I loved most about him was the fact that he was a tiger shifter. Best thing ever and I'm so glad the author had so many scenes where he shifted in his tiger form. Whether it was to swim, to run around, to get the heroine to trust him and to touch him, to laze around, to hunt, to protect, to kick his brothers asses in order to get them away from the heroine, or to purr my personal favourite.

I want my own Nikolai. That way I'd get to be able to play and cuddle with the tiger and the man. The best of both worlds, am I right or am I right? Sep 30, Zeek rated it really liked it Shelves: Im telling ya, the three friends who compromise this series are brutal- in mouth and deed. But somehow I like them! I think its the genuine affection and fierceness of their loyalty and love.

The hero of Here Kitty, Kitty is a tiger shapeshifter and I laughed out loud a couple times in this one. Sexy heroes all around. Very quirky little series but one I rec if you can handle ballsy, at times crass, rough women. Nov 25, Katrina Passick Lumsden rated it it was ok. After reading the Laurenston's Pride series, I had a hard time with this series because the women were damn near intolerable.

I loved Nik, the hero, but Angie is really, really annoying, and reading her character is akin to torture. To top it off, the heroines from the previous two books were even more annoying than they were in their own stories. Still, Laurenston has a way of making you like her writing even when you want to hate it. Jul 04, Mariana rated it it was amazing. Shelly Laurenston, just so you know, you're my new BFF. I'm so happy I wanna scream!! She puts up one hell of a fight for Nik. But come on, who could resist falling in love with that adorable big cat man!!

Sweet, cuddly, naughty, mischievous, sexy perfect! No one was screaming, yelling, running, sexing, laughing, kidnapping, cursing, shifting, calling names, getting into fights, making dinner with one eyed grandma and generally just being insane!! I'm ruined I tell ya!!

Mar 01, Melanie rated it really liked it Shelves: Review originally posted at RabidReads. This is the third and final book in the Magnus Pack series. Angelina is a human, but is very close almost like a sister to the crazy alpha female of the Magnus Pack. Nikolai Vorislav is the oldest of his three brothers and sister. His family is very different from most tiger families.

All of his brothers and sisters share not only a mother, but a father Review originally posted at RabidReads. All of his brothers and sisters share not only a mother, but a father too. This is very strange in tiger society. Tigers are rarely monogamous, but his father insisted upon it, no matter how much much it irritated his mother. He has no intention of being with just one girl.

Angie pushes against being held in North Carolina.

Feline facts

However, when she learns that some hyenas are out to get her, she feels that she is safer keeping them from her pregnant friend, Miki. There are some great one liners. It is truly the characters that pull me into this story. They are all so much fun. They are a fun and light reads that are guaranteed to get me in a good mood. Southerners always did tell the best stories. Of course, they were also the ones with relatives named Big Earl and Jackie Ray. She still sighed out her answer, though. Especially when some Pack from Tennessee showed up up. The Smiths or something. Their name may have been plain but these people really knew how to party.

Dec 06, Pansy rated it it was amazing. The Southern Man, sho can resist that southern accent and hospitality. Unfortunately for Angie Santiago, she cannot resist. She tries but does not succeed and that scares the hell out of her. Shelley Laurenston has given her readers exactly what they wanted. A hot, southern, sexy Tiger shifter. Nik is all of the above. He is not looking for a girlfriend he is a tiger.

He enjoys his solitude and the availability to bed whomever he wants and when. Angie has seen both of her best friends succomb to t The Southern Man, sho can resist that southern accent and hospitality. Angie has seen both of her best friends succomb to the passions of wolf shifters. She cannot believe she is about to go down that same path with no other than a tiger. After Angie is attacked by hyenas she is rescued and kidnapped by Nik's brothers. Of course they fall in love but the obstacles and passion is so funny. Angie has anger issues and can definitely defend herself when needed.

Of course her friends Miki and Sara with the rest of the wolf pack are ready to defend her at any cost. This book, which I hope is not the end, brought all the characters from the first two books back together. I love the dynamics of all the characters but there where some doors left open which I hope will be in another book. I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes sexy, funny, alpha men, and combative females who can kick ass. Oh, must be animal lovers.

This was probably my favorite of the series, even though I really liked Go Fetch! I just loved Nikolai!!! Kai, the man she thought was her soulmate, has left her for Paris, and she is in treacherous territory with her sugar daddy, Yves. When she receives an eviction notice from her landlord, Lee is forced to acknowledge that her life is unraveling at the seams and consider the possibility that there might be meaning in life beyond what can be found in the arms of strange men and the effects of reality-altering substances. Despite her tough exterior, Lee is a vulnerable young woman trying to numb her inner turmoil with sex, drugs, and alcohol.

Hypnotic descriptions of her romantic exploits and drunken nights are interspersed with nostalgic memories of her late mother, a stark contrast that alludes to an enduring innocence beneath the chaotic exterior. When Lee finds a seemingly genuine connection in Kelly, the new bartender at her restaurant who is grieving from a loss of his own, she strives to stand on her own and free herself from the grip of her debt and vices.
