There was only one Afghan pattern I would make. In the pictures there were two afghans and always instructions for the one I did not want. A lot of great patterns and instruction for the beginner to the high intermediate. As a crochet only skilled person, I was thrown, or at least miffed by the Tunisian crochet and knitting portions of this book I would like to have seen more on different stitches, rather than multiple patterns using basic stitches.

I have been knitting and crocheting for nearly 50 years and this is one of the best instructional books I have purchased. I would have given it 5 stars if alternatives for the yarns listed were either in their own section or on the pattern page. Can't wait to get started on the afghans. One person found this helpful. The pictures in this book suck!! I love to crochet but this book does not explain things well! Would love my money back.

Nice book with beautiful afghans. Not all of the patterns are crochet, some are knitting. Unfortunately, skill level is not noted for the patterns and amount of yarn needed is listed as number of "skeins" needed but rarely is it noted what size skein. Lots of great inspiration.
