Chasing Sam (Vegas Mates Book 1)

This was an excellent book. Strong characters, great plot and a well written story. I didn't put it down until I finished it.

However, I felt it ended before their story was finished. There was so much room for a terrific book to be awesome, if it didn't feel like you were left hanging with so many unanswered questions. There are enough questions about Sam and Chase to have a part two alone.

What happened when they returned? Did her mother get put in her place for being so manipulative, controlling and hateful? What about the sisters, did anything that happened change the way things were to be done in the future? This story contained such an amazing group of characters and it was so well written it is a shame to end it like this.

They have so much more to share. I read the entire MacLaughlin series, as well and they are wonderful, but feel like they were incomplete at the end. When I read, I enjoy losing myself in the atmosphere, finding that I can "see" what is being played out before me on the page. This book and this talented author have that just ability.

I found that I needed to read more and more. This was a book that I could not put down. With each chapter, a little more peeled back and revealed. The characters grow and develop. To me they felt like real people; like people I could know, not some contrived character created to do amazing and astounding things as often seen in the popular literature. They experience true pain and hurt, but they also are capable of receiving and giving love, even for feeling hope.

There is so much more beyond the surface of these characters. Utterly beautiful, completely stunning, sexy sizzling shifters, spectacular, no matter what worlds I'll use I don't feel I can make this book justice. I wish I had magic powers so I could simply convince everyone to read this hypnotic book. Their love story is so beautiful. The way it started, the way it grows, the way it blossoms It's an incredible love story I cannot say enough good things about it and I cannot wait to read the next one!

Can Sam find a way to escape tradition or will she find a loophole that could work in her favor while she looses her heart Sam and Chase were a great match! I am so happy with how everything turned out between them; I can't wait to see where their lives will end up. Nevertheless, my only issue with the novel was that I wanted the ending to wrap up a bit better.

Especially since I really want to know how her mother reacted, there is so many unknown issues that this novel touches on but never completes that it makes me curious as to know what the reasons are and I hope that within the next books in this series those reasons will be told. Overall, I recommend this novel and series to anyone who likes paranormal werewolf romances!

Danielle Forrest on April 12, The worst thing about this book was it ended before I wanted it to. It was just too short. I wanted to spend more than a few hours with Chase and Sam! I really liked Sam and Chase and absolutely despised her mom and her other suitors Hah!

God, I wanted to wallop her one something fierce!

The author was very good about player to the reader's emotions and my moods swung like a manic-depressive without their meds. I found myself laughing and then quickly wanting to hit someone, yearning for them to get together and practically yelling for them to run as fast as their legs could carry them.

I started this book 5 in 1 forever ago and it was good at first, but as each story went on, it just dragged on and I thought I'd be reading it forever.

The odd part was when I did get to the end I was left wanting to read Hallie's story. Where was her happy ending? A good wee read. I really enjoyed the first five stories. Each story building upon the last revealing the bigger story.
