It was a train wreck I didn't want to look away from, until this book. She is the anti everything to what I feel a strong female lead should be. She is selfish, she is childish, she is immature, she is weak, and could we for once have a book where she doesn't run away from something.

I just can't stand her and that ended this book series for me. And Sean, OMG really? I swear the author just felt that this couple And I'm done! I swear the author just felt that this couple needed to amp up the drama so she just started making crap up. There are no redeeming qualities. Ugh, I can't even go into any more details, because I'm annoyed that this series was able to get me to purchase 3 of the worst books I've read this year because I couldn't stop reading them.

Scarlet is supposed to be the sister and friend to these people but they do NOT have her back at all. They all three continually make excuses for Seans bratty, imature behavior. I still wish the author Hate it! I still wish the author would have hooked up Cortland and Scarlet, but I'm sure he gets his story in another book.

Over half the book is spent with these two bickering about everything from their wedding, family, running away, keeping secrets, mistrust or coworkers. Let's start with them arriving at his family's estate. I get the mother cares about her son, but for a mother that has called her son's best friend her daughter for the last how many year's to become a cold witch to Scarlet is uncalled for.

The mo Finally Scarlet and Sean are happy but as soon as they touch ground in Connecticut the bliss is over. The mother claims its because she is worried it is a rebound. If that was her rationale then she should be coddling Scarlet worrying she will get hurt and yelling at him saying he will lose his friend. Instead Penelope's name was brought up every two seconds and the mother even called the ex while they were there. He should have gave his parents some of the truth;something.

For someone to claim all this love for Scarlet, he should be protecting her from his mother's harsh words especially since this is the woman who is spending the rest of his life with him and as part of this family. Kuddos to the dad though. I absolutely loved all his comments toward the neighbor. Once back in Seattle the two of them just got worse. The fight over the wedding was completely dumb and why Sean was mad regarding Cortland was even worse.

Don't get me wrong yes you would argue and be hurt but hello you two are getting married and if you can not work through this together you might as well call off the wedding now. In the past year all parties have made mistakes and time will need to heal wounds but the insanity made my head hurt. At one point I had to put the book down. Thank god it was all finally resolved.

However, despite all of the above there is a secret still lingering as Ryan still does not know about Janice and Sean and the story ends with a bang. Not that kind hehe but a "I didn't see that one coming" kind. Luckily is not far away to read what happens next.

On a side note to story itself for a new reader to this author I'd like to fill you in on the series. The first three books in the series were all released on the same day. I am not sure how she will release the future ones in the series, but in case you look at the release dates, like I do, this is not a goof. Also the author reached out to me and asked if I would read the 1st book as an ARC advanced reading copy for an honest review. I loved the story so much I had to buy the next 2. She is a great author and I have truly enjoyed reading something from a blooming star. She is detailed so you are never left questioning and if you think a situation or question has no closure beware..

It's an emotional adventure with some twist and turns to keep you wanting more.

By the 3rd book I felt like puking because there was no storyline, just page after page about Scsrlett Sean. To add insult to injury when I reached the end there was book 4 and on and on.

The most unrealistic part of all was the everyday sex. The brother needed 3 times a day, Court 2 and Scarlet seem to be on eternal Viagra. I even thought that maybe she looks for fights just to rest her poor body. It was just too much. I know there is no exact science but times per week is normal.

He doesn't know Scarlet. They go back home and the problems arise. Keep reading this saga of these two, but I have to warn you we have to wait until next year for the next episode. I loved the drama throughout and the progression of the characters. Was also great to see a more alpha male side to Sean. Roll on book I couldn't stop reading this book. It was heartbreaking what Sean and Scarlet went thru. I thought that is was completely over between them but glad they had worked it out but I never saw the end coming.

To keep referring to scarlet as a whore and a slut is just awful.

I don't know how you are meant to relate to these characters. I have no more words to give about the story or people. Sorry, but not on my wave length at all.
