Still Hot and Juicy
A word of happy warning: Our server warned us that our food would arrive "in waves," which turned out to be a good thing. Just as we reached the bottom of a bag of spicy shrimp, a bagful of crab legs arrived. While we were gnawing on those, a bag of corn and potatoes turned up. An order of sausage can, like many of the sides, be thrown into a bag of sauce and shellfish, but we ordered ours as a starter.
It came in a paper cup and was so tasty I'd have gladly eaten it out of our server's hand. We ordered ours medium hot, in both cases, and found that the heat overpowered neither the sauce nor the luscious links. The etouffee was another nice starter, one that took me straight back to New Orleans. It's not an easy dish to share without utensils, unless you don't care about eating out of the same paper cup as your dining companions. We moved on to a pound of shrimp in lemon pepper sauce at medium heat. These were as large as prawns, tender. Their shells popped right off, making them a better bet for anyone who doesn't want to clean crayfish -- there's more meat and less work to these tasty morsels.
While we were gnawing our way through these, a bag of green mussels in garlic sauce showed up. These were fluffy and mild, with a snappy bite from a tomatoey garlic sauce that stayed with me well into the next day. Hot 'n' Juicy's namesake is best, we found, in the hot and spicy sauce. Shucking crawfish is a lot of work for a little taste, but -- thanks to their freshness and the spicy juice from their boil -- these were worth the effort. Pretty much as expected. It was monday afternoon and not very busy. Mild hot and juicy sauce with the crawfish and garlic with the prawns with two bread rolls each. The crawfish was something I have never sampled before and it didn't disapoint. Next time I'll order Medium hot sauce.
We mixed contents of both bags and shared the sauces Bread rolls are a must to soak up the remaining sauce.. Prawns were slightly better value compared to a pound of crawfish. A few people have mentioned they saw this place on Man vs Food, that's what happened to us to. Saw it, then decided to check it out while we were in town. They serve mainly seafood shrimp, crawfish, crab legs, fried fish, etc. All fresh seafood comes with your choice of seasoning, which also comes with your choice of spiciness levels. My husband ordered the fried catfish basket and he said they were good.
No utensils, just you, your plastic bibs and your hands. So it does get quite messy. Not cheap, but seafood usually isn't.

I thought the market prices were fair. This will definitely become my Vegas spot to re-visit next time I come in town. We have gone here twice coming from Los Angeles. We both really enjoy the food here. We saw people getting out of taxis with their lugage to eat here.
When we talked to the waitress she said business really picked up after the show aired. Please beware that there are other restaurants trying to cash in on the same thing. We saw a couple of restaurants with signs selling crawfish. If you are looking for the on fromn the TV show, please make sure you get the correct one.

The food is spicey even if you get the mild flavor. We got the crawfish, shrimp and oyesters. I thought all the food was fresh especially the oyesters. They had a choice of frozen or live crawfish, but this choice was only offered on our 2nd trip. The fresh crawfish cost more and takes longer to prepare. In fact, my wife and I thought it took a too long for them to cook the live crawfish. The good was ok. Now I've brought a pound of snow crab legs and it You must get the Hot N Juicy seasoned medium shrimp.
These shrimp are so good and you are going to be full after you eat what you order initially but you are gonna want to order more. They are that good. Here is a tip We came here on a recommendation. We are happy we took the advice. I enjoyed crab legs and shrimp. One in a cajun seasoning and the other in lemon pepper seasoning.

Food arrives in a bag. Choose to add corn and potatoes by the piece Crawfish cooked with other seafood and some sausages and corn-on-the-cob in a mild spicy sauce. Washed down with watermelon shandy. This place is nice and they spicy it up accordingly. We came here to try the seafood but then opted for the crawfish only. As the restaurant is called hot n juicy crawfish, we were only interested in trying this particular seafood.
You can order by the pound and choose the flavour and spice level Prepare to eat with your hands, we came back for snow crab legs and blue mussels, the head on shrimps are sweet and succulent. My least favourite is the soft shell crabs, they are too small and meatless. I had read about this franchise when I was in Phoenix last year but couldn't get anybody to go with me so I finally convinced my wife this weekend to try the place in Vegas.
I guess my hope was to mimic what I have Hubby and I went 2 days back to back.
