Please contact me should you wish to come back to South Africa, I can tell you about a lot more beautifull places to go…. This is the absolute truth: I cannot wait to go back. I loved Asia too, and must plan my return soon. However, Africa will forever hold my heart. I really hope you get there. Ahh, your photos of sunsets and deserts just gave me the chills! I was also moved even changed by my amazing time in Africa. I truly felt like I was back home!
Please enjoy my words here I love Africa……. Each day each breath, she consumes me. I have never changed so much in such a short time. Each day I feel more part of her. Her colour, smell, her smiles , the ever changing landscapes. Her beauty and her majesty. Like sweet wine flowing through my veins, my heart sings as I wave to all those faces going by. Back home to my Grandmothers Birth place.

How did they know? You all said I would cry, I thought no, but yes I often do. Not for their pain but for their happiness. See her now as I write.. Tears on a hard mans face. There is no time but now , no words just peace.
To Africa…With Love
Thousands of smiling faces, the mass of souls are singing out. Yes I see and feel it now…. In those trees I sense the Spirits of our saving , could it be our looking for? Thoughts intense of please no more. Not like the ancient rituals , sound of rain, and men together by campfires. Beginning to end but there really is no such thing as time, just imaginings. We still love sitting by the camp fire and we love listening to the rain? I love Africa the Eden and our Birthplace , Man. How can I explain to you my friend what I have seen and felt unless you to have seen it all … Africa.

As President of the Board, I intend to help guide the Society in implementing its objectives for improving the quality of life for Tanzanians by developing educational and health care facilities.
I travelled to Tanzania in October after joining the Society earlier that year. I wanted to find a way to give back after retiring and volunteering to help others less fortunate seemed the opportune way to do that. The thing I remember most about the trip to Africa was working with the people.
They are most appreciative, friendly, and caring people I have every met. It made me realize how fortunate we are in Canada, and how much we complain about the smallest of things here. I joined the Society because all the money raised goes directly to the projects and people in Tanzania. I retired from my entrepreneurial career in and was looking for opportunities to volunteer with a non-profit organization in Victoria. My decision to join For the Love of Africa Society resulted, in part, from meeting a University of Manitoba friend who returned to Tanzania after attending University.
He is a successful businessman who has changed the lives of thousands of people.

I look forward to helping the Society achieve these goals. This group of Massai have become family and it is my hope that we will continue to support this community. I have seen the need and know what ever we do is of benefit. Janice joined the Society in and travelled with them that year to help build an orphans centre. She has returned another four times since then and is proud to be part of an organization that listens to what the local people say is needed and works beside them to make it a reality.
I joined the Society in , impressed by the incredible work For the Love of Africa has been doing in the Dodoma area since I visited Tanzania as a tourist in and was so moved by the connections we made to a Maasai community that I founded the project that built the first classroom for Nashipay Maasai School in and a building for Maasai women to make and sell their incredible beadwork in
