Black Wraith (The Seal of Azari Book 1)

Enter the Hunter's Hut next to learn about Warbeast companions. The Warbeast allows you to make special attacks. The special attacks will appear on the left. In this battle, there is a red special attack. Destroy red gems to charge up the attack. Once charged, press Y to use the special attack. Use the special attack twice to end the battle. Later on in the game, you will get different coloured special attacks which will require the destruction of other gem colours.

Enter the Chieftain's Hut to learn about how to use items. Items, such as weapons, allow for regular gems to merge into Power Gems. Power Gems are created by forming a 2x2 block of the same colour. When a Power Gem is created, the game acts as if you destroyed those gems. These are destroyed in the same way as other gems; by making them touch Battle Gems.

Each item in the game has a different effect. Check the Inventory to see the effects different items have upon the destruction of their Power Gem. Destroy two Red Power gems to complete the battle. You will be introduced to Wildcard Gems, which are able to match to any colour. They can be used to create Power Gems, or simply be used to help connect regular gems to Battle Gems. You will also be introduced to Multiplier Gems, which increase the amount of Power you gain for Warbeast Attacks. It is worth noting that whilst Multiplier bonuses stack, their bonus is lost when they are merged into a Power Gem.

The tutorial will soon be complete, unlocking the "Humble Beginnings" achievement. Head to your home to continue the game.

The Seal of Azari: Black Wraith

Aim to complete all side quests before moving on to a different area. In fact, you should aim to complete side quests as soon as they appear, as they will sometimes give you items that will help defeat the various bosses. You will have to return to each area later in the game to complete Secret Battles, as you will not be strong enough the first time around.

These Secret Battles will be noted in their respective areas for simplicity's sake. You will be awarded with various others throughout your game.
