Vail is surprised to find such a large group of motorcycle enthusiasts in this often snow-bound country. She is even more stunned to discover that the bikers are normal guys, if perhaps even more physically imposing than your average Viking.

Just as Vail is starting to enjoy herself at the party, something truly frightening occurs. The evening is abruptly cut short by a brutal crime, and she is the lone witness. Why has Alreck kidnapped her, and what are his plans with her in his snowy haven? Is he her savior, her nemesis, or both?

The other positive parts of the story were a pretty hot hero who was tall, blonde and sexy but I really didn't feel like I got to know him. Now for the bad - mainly the heroine was just TSTL. She just was not smart at all. She kept trying to escape him for no reason and almost died once when she skied off into t About 2. She kept trying to escape him for no reason and almost died once when she skied off into the wilderness in the freezing cold without knowing where she was going.

The book is also told in first person from her POV so we are treated to her random thoughts about how fantastic!!! The writing was pretty mediocre. The heroine's thoughts were all over the place, she would be thinking once again about needing to escape but then would get lost thinking about how hot the hero was. The biker plot didn't really ring true, while I like the idea of Norwegian bikers we really didn't get to see the biker culture because they spent most of the book in his cabin.

The whole plot point of kidnapping her because she was a witness to a murder and then not telling her anything "because they didn't want to upset her more" was completely dumb. She asks repeatedly for information before making another dumb escape attempt and he won't tell her when he could easily have told her basic facts like hey you silly girl I am trying to save your life. I understood her trying to escape at first because she thought he might try to kill her but after it became very obvious he was not going to harm her in any way, it just didn't make sense for her to run off into a more dangerous situation for no reason.

The writing was kind of strange in that it tried to be too light hearted for the serious plot. The dialogue was not done very well either, it came off as kind of cheesy and unrealistic. So overall - cool idea with the Norwegian bikers, not so great execution View all 4 comments. The blurb indicated this would be an MC story set in Norway and because of personal reasons, I was interested in reading about a story of this genre in this unusual setting.

I have to say the setting in Norway felt authentic and I could feel the author's true appreciation for this beautiful, underrated, often spoofed country, with its unique geography, friendly inhabitants, rich culture, and fascinating history. But this isn't a travellogue, it is supposed to be a romantic suspense set in a rough and tough biker world so all these little breaks in the plot where the heroine admires the Northern Lights or takes a field trip with her captor to a Viking museum really rang false and became unintentionally comical.

I mean, the heroine had thousands of opportunities of screaming out for help and she did not bat an eyelash. The one time she plans for an escape, it is so ridiculously poorly thought out that I was seriously concerned that hypothermia had set on her brain. I could have done with all the plot holes, wooden dialogue, and implausible story, if it was not for the VERY VERY annoying pet peeve I have of books that name-drop consumer brands, to the point that I start suspecting if there is a Hollywood-type product placement deal in place between the writer and the numerous companies she touts.

We start off with the heroine commenting on her Armani coat that she got at a consignment sale. Then move on to her brushing her hair with her Kent boar bristle travel brush that she takes out of her black leather Prada cross-body purse. In the midst of a full-on kidnapping by a shady character with a prison record, our heroine's inner monologue pauses long enough to admire her captor's stainless steel gas range and a deep sink, set in a decent-sized granite island.

She twists her hair in her tortoise-colored Ficcare hair clip, remarks how her good moisturizer instantly refreshes her and applies Sugar brand lip balm to her rosy, bow-shaped lips. I didn't know if I was reading about a kidnapping or a particularly creative J. Peterman catalogue written by Elaine Benice. I have had similar issues with her other books, which, to be honest, I had forgotten that I had tried to read in the past, but all the name dropping of brands refreshed my memory. Kind of like my skin gets refreshed when I apply a cool swipe of Pond's face cream after taking a steamy Bed Bath and Beyond Eucalyptus scented bubble bath in my Kohler rectangular alcove bathtub with right-hand drain.

Ok, so this book really took me by surprise. I wasn't expecting such serious emotional depth. The title being "Naughty" led me to believe it might be an easy erotic read. The erotic actually was mostly anticipation and sexual tension as high as Mount Everest. Vail very intriguing name by the way and Alreck just oozed with chemistry. I at one point wanted to scream..

Ok more than once actually! But seriously this love story grew and grew and the emotions that Alreck showed Vail when she needed him just melted my heart. Alreck has a Dominant side that is so freaking sexy. Vail loved it and wanted more.

Filled with suspense and passion I loved every moment and hated to see it end. I hope the next installment will let us peek into what happens with them and their future. I just loved that sexy Viking and want more of him! View all 6 comments. I wasn't sure what to expect with this book - it's by a newer author, and I wasn't loving the title - but I thought I'd give it a shot. The image in your mind alone of Alreck had me all hot and bothered, but how he handled Vail was what clinched his status to another perfect book boyfriend. Vail didn't make it easy for him, even if she was secretly lusting after him.

She gave him a run for his money as she kept trying to find a way home. I loved the quick pace of the book and how the story flowed, keeping me interested the whole way through.

Please follow more reviews at the below sites: This is a 2. It's a bit more than okay but not exactly enjoyable for me. The premise of the story is a bit of a stretch, but it does go with this series and that's fine. There are two things which bothered me about this story: In order for this story to work, there had to be immense miscommunication. This is not one of the plot devices I like. If Alreck just explained it to Vail, this story would not exist. So it is a mix for me. From a This is a 2. From a character perspective, Vail is a bit annoying for me.

She's not the type of female I enjoy reading about because of her lack of maturity at times. And her inability to discuss with with Alreck frustrated me to no end. Alreck is an okay character. He's the stoic, sexy dangerous man. The sexual tension between the Alreck and Vail was fine. The kinky parts are a nice slightly dark erotica with dub con. Overall the story is a fast and easy read. Those who enjoy capture and kidnapping stories, this is the one for you.

Never gonna win Spending a term in Norway, Vail finds herself invited to a biker club party.

Never gonna win any literary prizes, but a nice easy read to pass an hour or so, cos that's all it took for me to read. The end was very similar to Canada, with the characters facing a long separation followed by sudden reappearance. And in Canada we heard from main characters, here, only Vail. One thing though, "ungh" author uses it often, in both books. Nov 19, Desmond Haas rated it it was amazing Shelves: While visiting a biker bar in Oslo, Vail witnesses a crime.

Alreck's imposing stature and and off-putting demeanor doesn't allow Vail to get the answers she desperately wants and she also doesn't know whether he is helping her or one of criminals. Christine Edwards setup throws these two together in Alreck's small, remote cabin in the Lofoten islands. During their many confrontations, these two slowly come together, but it's all uphill.

Naughty in Norway is a well written phycological adventure, but with enough spice to keep the two protagonists interested in in each other. Once Mikkel shows up to talk to Vail, and she notices a couple of the members there including the very hot Alreck, she knows this is not going to be good.

While Lisetta packs her stuff, and Vail decides she wants no part of this, Alreck must knock her out with some ether just to get her in the truck to get her somewhere safe. Vail is unsure if Aleck is trying to kill her or protect her knowing he was released from jail only six weeks ago. After multiple attempts of trying to escape she realizes she is never going to escape this man or the feelings she is feeling for him. Why, Vail, tell me? I live my life by complete control and rigid rules, yet with you its all fucking chaos.

Do you know that, woman? Do you have any idea what you do to me? I love all of the characters and having the suspense in this book just adds to the excitement while reading. The intensity and passion that comes from Alreck and Vail is so entertaining. After reading this book be sure to read Nordic Lessons for a very enjoyable read.

I absolutely love every time that Vail tries to escape this man. My all time favorite was when she takes his truck and honestly believes that she can finally be free.
