Can definitely recommend it! I have had bad meals in my life, but I have never felt like I have been ripped off, until now. We camp for a week every year at HMSP Had dinner here with three friends after a long day riding the "Back of the Dragon. Our orders included a sirloin steak, a grilled chicken Cobb salad, and the salad Brunch is wonderful and reasonably priced.

I know the weather is unpredictable, but, generally speaking, how are temps from mid-April through May until Memorial Day? And are black flies a problem that time in Spring? Need to make reservations soon. Response from Shelley G Reviewed this property. Google says in Marion, Va area the average temp April - May is 67 to 74 degrees and I would have to agree! Lows say degrees. I have never had problems with black flies at Hungry Mother but we have always been Fall I have never had problems with black flies at Hungry Mother but we have always been Fall and Summer.

I would check with the park on that. Enjoy, such a lovely Virginia park! There doesn't seem to be online records of any. No matter how small, I would love to know. Hungry Mother State park seems very appealing but I was wondering what there may be to do at the end of March there since of course we will not be able to swim.
