It was a decent book, but it would have been better to show two thinkers of divergent views. It felt like the difference between Caputo and Vattimo was one of nuance rather than actual ideological disagreement. I am not a member of the Hegel-left or the Hegel-right. I am riding the dead horse of the "Hegelian -center"; but have an appreciation for insights from either extreme. I have become a Caputo fan. He articulates a leftist hermeneutic of "event" with regard to Hegel, but maintains a Christian stance.
