It is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom I will send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Yea doubtless; and l count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ, for when I have suffered the loss of all things; and do count them as dung, that I may win Christ. Also consider his other letters to other believers as in Romans chapter 1 vs. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek " In his letter to the Philippians chapter 3, vs. Based on the record of Dr.
Luke in Acts And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there, save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus; to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
His incarnation His dwelling among us, His death, crucifixion, burial and His resurrection is based the historical records in the Scriptures. He mentioned in his letter to the Galatians the coming of the Lord in human history: Paul also made a very solid defense on the historicity of Christ in his first letter to the Corinthians in chapter For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the Scriptures; And that he was seen of Cephas; then of the twelve.
After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain unto this present time, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as one born out of due time. Simon Greenleaf, the famous Royal professor of the Harvard Law School, made an intellectual search for the legal evidence of the historicity of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
He was the leading legal luminarian and authority on legal evidences of the 19th century. His students goaded this brilliant Harvard professor to study the accounts of eyewitnesses in the Scriptures, and disprove the reality of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. He wrote his solid defense of the resurrection of Christ according to the Scriptures, a book entitled: He became a Christian, strong and staunch defender of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. He encouraged and challenged Timothy not to be ashamed of the testimony of Christ, but to be a partaker of the sufferings of the Gospel of Christ.
There is certainty and assurance of our faith in Christ Jesus, no doubt about it.

This was no commitment of a mad man or a psychologically deranged or an emotionally shocked personality but from a zealous follower and disciple of the risen Christ. Paul mentioned the fact that we followers of Christ are not only privileged to believe but to suffer for His sake. For I could wish that I, myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh.
Paul's attitude to the sufferings consequent to following and proclaiming of the Gospel of Christ was glorious and rejoicing situation: I am more; in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in death often; of the Jews five times received forty stripes; save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once I was stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day l have been in the deep; in journeyings often, in perils of waters; in perils of robbers; in perils by mine own country men, in perils by heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness; in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness; and painfulness; in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
Beside those things that are without that which cometh up on me daily the care of all churches; who is weak and I am not weak? Who is offended, and I am not offended, and I am not indignant? If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities. He had the passionate desire to be true and faithful in the ministry of reconciling sinners to God by the preaching of the Gospel of Christ.

The Certainty Of Faith
How can I experience this reward -- the certainty of faith? Well, Paul gives the answer in Romans 8: Paul knew without doubt that God is the one in control of all things not just some things. Paul knew well the words of Jesus in Matthew Thy throne is established from of old. Therefore, Paul never had to fear who was at the helm of the ship in his life. What certainty this gives you and I to know without question: God is in control. Even when circumstances seem out of control, the truth remains: We must never doubt His wisdom, authority and power.
The key is accepting it by faith and living out the truth in our daily lives as Paul and his followers did.
