It was nice to meet the famous chef, Carrie Nahabedian who came out of the kitchen to greet us. Brindille is absolutely wonderful. A Chicago favorite for me.
Superb food, creative menu, intimate atmosphere. Lobster dish one of best ever. So many better places. Splurged and got the 8 course tasting. We dine at this place for my husbands bday All was ok. Nice place nothing so special as i thought We had the most expensive items on menu We also got triple charged for oysters Whats going on? For the force, the tasting menu and wine pairing were very underwhelming. Having eaten at a fair share of excellent restaurants, the menus didn't stand out in any way.

Perhaps if we had not gotten the tasing menu our experience would have been more memorable. The staff was friendly, the food very good with good presentation and the ambiance was very nice.
The service was my biggest issue. Since the restaurant was not very busy the attention to our table lagged. My friend had a glass of wine and was never asked if he would like another. There were three of us dining. Two of us ordered the exact same main course. When the staff brought the meal they placed the wrong order in front of my dining companion. Not a big deal, but if you're a Michelin rated restaurant I expect a little more attention to detail. Overall, the attention to our table was minimal. The appetizers were particularly good and the service was impecable.
Excellent service, nice atmosphere! My wife and I have enjoyed dinner here before but last evening was off. An extremely loud group of over 20 detracted seriously from our meal. In the future a group of this size should be required to reserve the entire restaurant or dine elsewhere. When I made the reservation, I was asked if there was anything special or dietary restrictions. I indicated that it was an anniversary dinner. The restaurant did not in any way mention that to us. I wrote that my wife is on a grain free diet.

We repeated this to the server when we ordered. The first dish we were served had corn in it. The excuse was that the chef did not know that corn is a grain.
What Insiders Are Saying
It didn't get much better. Foie gras was exquisitely prepared, duck and pork belly crisp and delicious! Lobster was so delicate and light. Wonderful place for a special occasion or anytime! One of the small plates was utterly disgusting and fishy tasting, never had anything worse at a restaurant, not an exaggeration It tasted as if someone took some mac and cheese and emptied some juice from a can of tuna It ruined the entire palate for the rest of the evening We barely touched the plate, but the service did not inquire if the food was ok The other two small plates were good, but lacked much flavor and finesse that one expects at that price range Both entrees were perfectly executed.
Cocktail selection was poor. Not my favorite in Chicago. Everything was amazing from food to circus! This was a great discovery! Great food and service. Terrific ambiance and great place to actually have a conversation. They will go out of the way to accomadate dietary restrictions.
Food very good, took a little long to come out. Not on par with other high end restaurants. Quiet experience with great food and terrific service. Delicious fine dining experience. The 5-course tasting menu was exceptional. Wine-pairing was very nice too. Beautiful restaurant, great service and outstanding food. Absolutely delicious food and terrific service.
It is very loud. The kitchen was very slow. Amazing and authentic French food for the foodies. Food was good but restaurant was completely empty. Foie gras, steak tartare, lobster Brindille and duck made for a wonderful anniversary meal. The service was helpful and punctual- there were no delays between courses. We had a lovely dining experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the noise level was quiet enough for conversation amongst our party of four.
We made a mistake in choosing the eight course tasting menu with wine pairings. The first three courses were superb. The first oyster was truly remarkable. As the meal progressed we thought the quality of the courses declined. That judgement was complicated by our enjoyment of the wine pairings which led to too much alcohol. A la carte, or even the five course tasting would have improved the evening.
Still, there is a lot of talent in this place. We had high expectations and where not disappointed. We enjoyed everything from the minute we got there. The evening was a special occasion for us and Brindille helped make the night wonderful. We will be back. Sign up Sign in. Overview Photos Menu Reviews Twitter.
