Mortal Bite (Golden Vampires of Tuscany Book 2)
Sharon Hamilton brings to you a totally different spin on the everyday vamps stories that are out there. These are definitely not your regular vampires, oh no!! There is excitement, intrigue, mystery, betrayal and hot, steamy romance that will leave you blushing! I love the new characters that have been introduced in this book with some good guys, bad guys maybe some of the bad guys aren't so bad at all and even some hot, hunky SEALs thrown in for good luck. I cannot wait to learn more about them all in the next issue.
I highly recommend all of Sharon Hamilton's books. She is on my Auto-Buy list!! Another genre, Another winner from the pen of Sharon Hamilton.

I really enjoyed this second book in the Golden Vampires of Tuscany series. Sharon Hamilton has given us a story where the chemistry is electric and the love scenes, are very sensual and deliciously hot, and romantic. These Monteleone vampires are so charming and seductive. The action is fast paced and the suspense and intrigue carry the story along at a nice pace. Carabella and Poalo must succeed not only with the bad guys, but with their attraction to each other too. But then the family is incredibly wealthy what's the challenge? Have you ever read anything about poor vampires??? Sharon did an excellent job of developing her plot with rich full prose and characters that were interesting and enjoyable.

She struck a good balance between depth and richness in her writing and not getting just plain wordy. I will be ordering book 1 of the series as soon as I finish this review, usually bess to start at the beginning, don't know how I messed that one up. This book brought forward some concepts I had not heard of before. I am a bit disappointed with the end of the book as I feel there are still several questions that need to be answered.
This is a sequel and I love to read further into the characters story. Great writing and keeps you on the edge and not want to put it down. Many story lines to keep track of within this team. I loved the connection of her and Paolo have and how they had to fall in love for the second time. I wish there was a third book in this series, I really want Laurel to find her mate and to learn if a golden can ever have two fated mates. Dec 25, Lori Feldpausch rated it it was amazing. Loved, loved this book!! There's only two in the series as of now! Hoping there will be more in future!!

Mortal Bite (Golden Vampires of Tuscany, book 2) by Sharon Hamilton
Interesting This book brought forward some concepts I had not heard of before. I am a bit disappointed with the end of the book as I feel there are still several questions that need to be answered. Dec 15, Rachel Salzano rated it it was ok Shelves: I admit that I didn't read the first book before this one, and maybe that was part of the issue.
But this book felt really disjointed as I was reading it, and didn't seem to flow well, at least not for me. Perhaps if I had read the first book it would have been different because I'd have had better background, but as of right now, I am not impressed. Dec 16, Susan Jackson rated it it was ok. Dec 12, Kat Davis rated it did not like it. I kept waiting for this book to pick up pace. I gave up pages in. It tried to use all vampire lore in one book. I wasn't impressed, but I hope other people will have a better experience. Another great read by Sharon Hamilton.
This review will not tell you what happened in the story that is what the synopsis is for. If you want spoilers this won't get them to you. If you want to know what I thought and felt about the story and how it was written, this is the review for you. This is book 2 of the series but can be read as a stand alone. I love a multi pov book when it has the pov from both the main male and female character. This one however had way too many povs. It was easy to Another great read by Sharon Hamilton. It was easy to get lost in the shuffle on who was doing what.
With the multi pov, there was basically more than one story line going on. They all eventually tied into one big story but some of the side stories were more like filler than anything and was not necessary and just bogged down the story. This book started out really strong for me and made me super excited as I read it. As I got into the multi pov though, I found it slower reading and found myself wanting to skip sections. The story concept itself was good. I loved Paolo in book 1 and was so glad to see him as the main male character in book 2.
It was nice having Marcus and Anne as well. I like when a book brings in the characters from the previous book so we can see how their lives are progressing. All in all a good read but a lil wordy Good storyline, nice character development and good descriptions to detail. Oh, did I forget to mention the sexy bits? Yep, there were some of those too and they were done nicely I have to admit, I wish she would come up with a different word other than "peach" for the gals nether region.
I've read it in all the Seal books and now here I groan now every time I read it and not in the sexy way either Hey!! Maybe I should do a drinking game Now there is an idea! But then, I may end up too drunk to write a review Would I recommend this book? Yea Would I read more from this author? Oct 13, Niki Driscoll rated it really liked it Shelves: This was an interesting twist on the whole vampire legends. Great characters, captivating storyline, angst, drama, sizzling sex and some revolutionary new concepts on the origins of humans.
Hamilton shows some devious charm when she pairs Carabella, who is a professor of legends, lore and vampires with Paolo a real life vampire.
Mortal Bite
Twisted sense of humor or not it made for a great story. Knowledge is empowering however,Cara's quest to find more information about vampires puts her in the middle This was an interesting twist on the whole vampire legends. Knowledge is empowering however,Cara's quest to find more information about vampires puts her in the middle of a coming battle between the dark and golden vampires.
There was a lot going on in this storyline, even though the relationship between Paolo and Cara was the main focus there were several other interesting things taking place. The goal of finding what seemed to be the bible of vampires was like a treasure hunt and the dark vampires were vicious in their perusal. I really liked the dark brothers who worked for the Monteleone's and hope they get a story of their own.
It was interesting that Ms. Hamilton worked some seals into her storyline and their familiarity with one of the dark brothers left some interesting possibilities. I had the feeling there was other deeper meaning in some of the events that took place and hope to see answers to my questions in the continuation of this series. Oct 14, Julianne Redmon rated it it was amazing. I enjoyed reading Mortal Bite more than the first of the series. The plot continues along the lines that are fundamentally different than any other vampire story that I have read.
There is much more mystery in this story than the previous one and it thoroughly intrigued me. I fell in love with Paolo and Cara as a couple immediately. Her blatant disbelief in anything paranormal, especially vampires, and his dangerous, yet gentle nature are perfectly suited. Their story was definitely more about a I enjoyed reading Mortal Bite more than the first of the series.
Their story was definitely more about a growing love than the fating that Marcus and Anne experienced. Paolo and Cara's story was slower, more sensual, but at the same time infinitely more dangerous to the survival of the Goldens. Again there were characters that I absolutely detested in this book, but the rest of the supporting players were much stronger than the first. The Jett brothers and Shirley really held my attention from the beginning and I feel we are just at opening of a future story at least I hope so.
Feb 26, Julie Beasley rated it it was amazing. Another genre, Another winner from the pen of Sharon Hamilton. I really enjoyed this second book in the Golden Vampires of Tuscany series.

Oct 13, Melissa rated it it was amazing Shelves: From page 1, this book grabbed me into the world of Vampires and the Monteleone brothers once again. This time it is about Paolo. I love that in the beginning of the book we are reminded what happened in the first book with his brother and Anne. I really hope there is a third book. This book definitely is steamy like the first book!

Sep 28, SiKReviews rated it really liked it. Who would have guessed that a Professor that is an authority on Vampire Mythology actually run into an actual Vampire? Well that is what happens to Carabella. Her buying a really old book that costs her a months salary not only got her the book, but it had her finding the love of her life and possible saving all the Golden Vampires. Although Paolo accepted the Turning at puberty, he never could quite let go of his love of mortal women.
Could Fating happen more than once? Oct 16, Sara rated it really liked it. Book 2 of the Golden Vampires of Tuscany takes Ms. Hamilton's spin on vampire stories to the next level. I enjoyed Honeymoon Bite book 1 but this even differs from that. Book 1 was a lot more of interpersonal relationships, where book 2 is more action and adventure with romance mixed in.
