Wyatt, currently in a relationship with another man, had no idea that his life was about to be drastically impacted by the enthralling and formidable force of Preston. However, I suggest that this series be read in order as the story makes several references to people and events that were featured earlier in the series.

We have werewolf Wyatt, who discovered his mate in the previous books. Too bad he was only 7 years old at the time.. Preston, who was 13 at the time, knew he had to get away from Wyatt because they were simply too young. Wyatt is now 18 years old and Preston is ready to claim his mate. But his mate has a boyfriend now..

So he does the only thing he can think of, he disguises his scent from Wyatt and starts to get closer to him so they can get to know each other. He is hoping Wyatt will fall in love with him without him knowing they are mates. Preston and Wyatt do get close, working together at the local fire station.

It isn't long before Wyatt is head over heels. But when he finds out Preston has been lying to him, he doesn't know if he can ever forgive him. These books are like slow torture for me. There is a part of me that likes them and yet I am having a hard time getting over the bad writing and the sweetness of the stories. And I can get over the fact that everyone in a story is gay, but this is ridiculous. Everyone is gay and I am talking about at least 50 people. And every single one of them gets married and wants to have babies. I am in desperate need to read something more substantial now. This story is just so sweet. Of course when he was finally ready to claim his mate Wyatt had to be typical Wyatt and be in trouble. Wyatt was adorable as a pup in the early books in this series and he's wonderful now as a soon to be grown man. In college and on his own his impatience at waiting for a mate his friends and family have tried to convince him doesn't exist have left him willing to date. Still he's secretly held out hope of finding his mate, the mate he knows is out there. Of course his current boyfriend gets him into trouble first. Wyatt and trouble have always seemed synonymous. Watching Preston try to control himself around his mate while getting Wyatt to fall in love with him for who he is not just what he is was super sweet and adorable.

Yes, it would have been hard to be around each other, but it could have been possible. Is being mated really just about sex? Keep it in your pants, kids. But, what do I know I am not a wolf. Or should i say NOT handling? How on earth did a bunch of adults decide it was best to basically brainwash a kid into thinking he hadn't met his future mate? What were they thinking would happen when he found out? That is all the plot is built up around. It could have been a brick house, but it turned out to be a shack made of sticks. Ready to fall apart. The This was OK. The second thing that bothered me was how the MCs were portrayed.

Wyatt sounded so young and Preston, on the other hand felt like he was over 60 going on So mature, boring and patronizing towards everyone, not only Wyatt. I did enjoy the parts with the team at the firehouse and the other people around them. Who doesn't want to read a book about gay cops and straight firemen? Jul 13, Rachel rated it it was amazing. I jumped in this series at book 9 and I've got to say I enjoyed this! I was a bit unsure starting a series with so many books but going forward it looks fun: May 26, J rated it it was ok. I loved that we have been following Wyatt's growth from an adorable pup to a sexy young man. This is one of the reasons I love this series. It did not stop with 4 or 5 books. It keeps growing and evolving like the greatest soap opera or your favorite TV series.

I also love that it is not just one story line. There are a bunch of them and they flow seamlessly in the background while an amazing love story unfolds in front of you. He had kept it a secret because he was so much older and he couldn't be around because he needed to let Wyatt become an adult because he could not stomach the sexual thoughts he had for the younger man.

So why does he feel this insane attraction to the extremely attractive firefighter, Preston Dalton. Preston Dalton has waited 12 years for his mate. Preston sets out to make Wyatt fall in love with him without the assurance of the mate bond. It involves Wyatt quite literally climbing up Preston, clothes being torn off, claws grazing skin, lips locking and a shit ton of steam!!

This is the best book of the series for me as I've been watching these two grow up throughout all the books and that just made their story that much more enticing. The Skull blasters, the wolf packs and the latest addition of the Russian mob. It never ceases to amaze me how Gasq-Dion weaves all the dozens of stories together so we are always in the know with our favorite couples. Dec 02, Joelle rated it it was amazing. This was my most highly anticipated book of the series. Ever since meeting Wyatt in Book 3, I have been waiting for his story. I hated that Preston and the Quintons hid the fact that Preston was his mate from him. And it was so unfair that Preston had to wait so long for his mate. But the wait was definitely worth it. But the closer they grew, the hotter they I wish I could give this one 10 stars. But the closer they grew, the hotter they got.

When they finally admitted their feelings for each other, I couldn't have been happier.

And I love that they saved themselves for each other. It kicked things up to a whole other level. It did make me sad that Wyatt thought he was betraying his mate by being with Preston. Preston should have come clean with him sooner.

This pair has been mated since birth but when one mate is 7 years younger, Preston has to wait till Wyatt is of age. Every one has told Wyatt that he imagined his mate when he was younger and then to find out they lied, is more than earth shattering.

But when his mate is a life or death situation, Wyatt realizes that no matter what he is in love with Preston Oh my Wyatt has grown up I have been waiting for Wyatt and Preston's story since the first book of this series. Dion's writing skills put me in the book, loving the characters and wanting more, more, MORE!! Wyatt finally gets his mate in "Passion" and we meet more of the Denali Pack up close and personal Tucker and Wesley who were introduced in book three, well technically book two when they were sitting around with Mark. I laughed, I cried and I put this book down with a smile on my face at the end. Now that's what I call goo Every time this author releases a book I just know I'm going to love it.
