Black Stone Tome 01
It has been difficult to reacquire what little I did know using language books and DVD's; but I have read "The Hobbit" at least half a dozen times. So I have been reading the French version, not trying to translate every word but following the plot and rhythm of the words. I've gotten a third of the way through the book so far without great effort. It has been an enjoyable way to improve my vocabulary and reading comprehension; and any excuse to read "The Hobbit" is a good one. Je prendrais francais il y a deux annees, et apres rechercher un peu, j'ai decouvrit que ce livre est tres facile pour les etudiantes.
En plus, le livre a un peu d'espace pour que tu puisse faire des petits mots sur les bords. Apres le livre trois fois, mon francais a ameliore beaucoup plus que j'ai attendu! Mais, pour etre honnete, le sole probleme est le fait qu'il a pris une mois pour arriver.
Mais, sans ca, c'est excelllente! One person found this helpful. I am an english speaker, and have read The Hobbit many a time in English. So I thought it a great idea to help myself learn French by rereading my favoritest book in the whole wide world in French. It's simply the grandest, funniest, gentlest, beautifulest fantasy story in existence. Si tu veux le mieux aventure, celui-ci est le livre pour toi!!! A good exercise for intermediate French my son tells me French has a different tense for relating third person narratives so beginners beware.
A great adventure in any language. I've read this book years ago, and the movie give me the idea to read it again! So here it is: C'est un chef d'oeuvre. Dans "Bilbo le hobbit", tout est simple.
