7 Days With Adam

Setting aside any preconceptions about the amount of time the LORD God took to do His work of creation or His chronological sequence found in Genesis 1 , the the timeline of Genesis 2 is presented at the start of the account: Revelation Lad 2, 2 7 I upvoted this but it is not without problems. If "in the day" means day six then why had the vegetation of day 3 not appeared yet? It seems to me that "in the day" is idiomatic and just means "when". How do you reconcile the description of day 3 with: And God saw that it was good. Sign up or log in Sign up using Google.

I believe the Pentateuch was largely if not perhaps wholly scribed by a single inspired author, Moses. As such, the Pentateuch should be looked at as a unity, including Gen 1: This account gives the day by day details of God's creating during those seven consecutive hour days yes, others hold different views on interpreting the days.

This first one is the generation and history of mankind being formed from the dust of the earth and breath of God, and what happens to mankind after that, up to the time that God is preparing to save the earth from mankind's wickedness with the flood of Noah where the next toledot begins, Gen 6: As such, it is giving expanded detail of day 6 of creation week Gen 1: So the "two accounts" are just that, different accounts, but not describing different periods of time, just different details. Genesis is progressing in its literary and historical description to begin its "history of mankind" as God saw fit for us to need to know.

There is no Biblical textual support for a person such as Lilith , especially in Genesis.

So there is no textual basis at all for anyone to teach that Lilith is why there are two accounts of creating man in Genesis. No, Adam was not created after the seventh day.

A comparison of the creation story in Genesis 1: In the first story, man and woman are the last of God's creation, for example after all other animals have been created, whereas in the second story, Adam 'man' is the very first of God's creations and the other animals are only then created. In the first story, God is all powerful El Shaddai and simply speaks things into creation "And God said, let there be Kass says in The Beginning of Wisdom: Reading Genesis , p55 that pious readers, believing that the text cannot contain contradictions, ignore the major disjunctions between the two creation stories and tend to treat the second story as the fuller, more detailed account of the creation of man and woman that the first story simply reported.

Kass tells us that once we recognise the independence of the two creation stories, we are compelled to adopt a critical principle of reading if we mean to understand each story on its own terms, without considering any facts or notions from the other account. Adam is part of the second story, and this does not have a concept of seven days. He was created at the very beginning.

The story of the creation of Adam and Eve is followed by the story of the Garden of Eden and the fall of man, Cain and Abel, all the way through to the story of Noah. To have placed it before the seven-day creation story would have disrupted the flow of the text. The Documentary Hypothesis says that what is now the first creation story was added by the Priestly Source during the Babylonian Exile. It was much easier to simply add the later account at the very beginning. And could Genesis 1: And of course the events were very much in the past for Moses as he wrote Genesis?

I do not believe Eden was a dinky small garden but a huge area big enough for all the animals he created in Genesis 2: That clearly says it is in the day that God made the earth and the heavens.

Which is the first verse in the Bible and the first day. The also in Col 1 speaking of Jesus 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: So the image of God is Christ, with Jesus the head of the body, and the church is the body. And you are created in HIM Christ.

And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:. So God says that He is going to "create man in his own image" the look of your own natural body And he says "male and female created he them". In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

The word likeness here in verse one is described in Gen 3: As was Jesus first created as a man "But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: In 2 Pet 3 we are told about the separation of the waters during Noah's flood, which is described as Day 2 of Gen 1 and Also we are given the length of the days of Gen 1. If you read the rest of 1 Cor God will create everyone in His own spiritual body, looking like the persons natural body, male or female, and raise them in His image Christ, the spiritual body , on the last day.

The Two Creation Accounts

It says distinctly God Created male and female No names and both at once not separate. Then he rested But notice it says in the description of the Sabbath that there is no man to till the earth. This however does not give credence that he hadn't already created man and women together, but means he wanted a new or specific people to call his own.

I also can't help but wonder if he already had planned that Adam would fall and sin for as far as I can tell there was no reason to till the earth for it was all there at mans finger tips. Also this would answer where and why all those people came from later on when Adam and Eve are expelled from Eden. To once and for all dispel all the line of Seth and Cain garbage secular Christians keep trying to spew.

Only fallen angels could mate with women, and create Giants not human to human, and no Cain's sin mating with Seth would not do that! For those that say angels can't have sex aren't considering they were FALLEN Angels which means they left their immortality behind lost their power and became Hybrid humans.

This explains why there are femur bones twice as tall as a man an NO! Another thing or another truth is this there is or very well could be a gap theory which would explain why some bones are aged at 's of millions of age because another flood before Noah's took place which means we've been destroyed at least twice in history. Notice it says, and his spirit went over the waters of the deep in Genesis if God didn't' create water until later then where's this water coming from?
